Cathlete
Morning all!

I've come to report that I've finished the upper body premix of MIS! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/gen002.gif

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry051.gif What do you mean, "So?"

I'm babysitting this morning (4 squirrels, that is) and not shopping today LOL. Mr. Caw has gotten clandestine and we haven't seen him, but according to Orange, he's been here and had breakfast.

That sneaky good-for-nothing. LOL.

So I went to the chair store yesterday. They had many, many chairs. And I'm relieved to report that the woman working there turned out to be a "Not a phone person" kind of person. She was very helpful and kind and all went well.

Well, except for the chairs LOL. I've decided that I do indeed want arm rests, and of course the one chair they have that I want is just about the ONLY chair in the lot of chairs that doesn't come with arm rests. So I'm going to wait and see if I can find a day where I can go chair shopping.

I get my table tomorrow, and I do have one work chair that Mom can use when she comes to eat dinner here (and I guess I'll use my Fitness Ball LOL....or my step ladder http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/indifferent/indifferent0017.gif .)

Oooh, as I wrote that, I got an email saying my crock-pot should be arriving probably tomorrow - woo hoooo! Oh boy and I just got a crock-pot recipe from Jen! Yes!

http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/cool/cool0010.gif

I have to go out tomorrow so I'm going to buy the TV. http://bestsmileys.com/excited/3.gif

Oh, and as for the cabinet -- I wrote back to the store asking if they had a cabinet that would fit my space where I wouldn't have to buy a top shelf set (without it, the cabinet I wanted, which would be table height, wouldn't have a top). They wrote back showing their one product that would work....except that the special-order top counter was half the price of the actual cabinet. A piece of countertop material for half the price of the actual cabinet!! I mean, come on! So I'm going to wait on that, too.

My brother is going to pick up my old TV this weekend (I'm out of town again this whole weekend 'http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sign/sign0001.gif ) and then.............

...........I'll be eating bean sprouts on sale for as little money possible at my table while sitting on my step ladder watching a fabulous new TV that I don't actually really need!

MICHELE - That's great news about your niece. You've done so much to speed her recovery. I'm sure her parents are grateful.

>Oh! I've been working out everyday. I haven't done enough cardio, but I've been doing lots of Classical Stretch. I've been so on edge lately and this has really helped me to relax.

WOO HOOO! It felt really good to work out this morning. I do love lifting. It's making me rethink about next month's rotation and my maybe needing to take some cardio out of it LOL.

LOL, thanks for posting Mr. Caw again. Can anybody tell me what kind of bird he is?

>I'm trying to get my post count up to 10,000. When I do look out!! I'm going to celebrate with cake or a cookie or something!

LMAO!!!!!!!!

JENNIFER - Yay! No snow!! That's great news!

>Show us what you bought.

LOL.

Here's my crock-pot : http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/goods-factory/4533022511033.html

And here's my table (but not the chairs) : http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/himalaya/kktscooldset.html

JEN - Thanks for the recipe! I'm so excited to try out my crock-pot. It should come tomorrow. Of course, that means I have to go to the grocery store LOL.

>I can look through a few of my cookbooks for the slow cooker when you do get it and post some of the meat-free ones that look good, actually should have some time this weekend to do it if you let me know what "types" of things you like & things you don't like...

How sweet you are. Don't you spend lots of time typing out recipes!! They MUST be online. So just tell me your favorites and I'll search them out.

Hey, wasn't someone going to post an oatmeal one for us....I think it was Dana?!

Not glad to hear your tummy is hurting, but glad to hear you can have some private time because of it. http://bestsmileys.com/lol/10.gif

Okay, I'm going to wash up and get to work. It's so hard to concentrate on my work while I'm measuring stuff and moving furniture around LMAO.

Laters!

Morning Haters.

August-your crock pot and table look great. I've never seen Yahoo Japan before although, with my exchange student, I got to view MSN Europe.
Rival might have a few recipes online for their crockpots too.

Michele-That's awesome that you helped your niece get better sooner.

Diane-How are you? And, Miss Ella Grace? Updated pics please.

Jen-How are you? Chad?

For me, more snow in the forecast. We had about 5 days to recover. Had to scrape and salt the drive this AM. Tonight, I have tentatively planned for StepBLast or SJP. I feel good that I have had 3 days to workout straight so far.

Have a Gret Day !!

OOOH August, I love that table. Those chairs in the pic are nice (if they had them with arms). And the crockpot is really nice as well. I've never seen one like that. Yeah, yeah, I'm the one that said I'd post the oatmeal recips. Perhaps this afternoon I will. Why would I have the recipe with me at work??? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

Yesterday my workout was a 2-mile walk AND Low Impact Circuit. I really love this workout. It is 70 minutes but it literally flies by. The cardio (dare I say this) is so fun and really easy to follow. Fun, fun, fun!!! Not sure what I'm doing tonight.

Michele - that is great news about your niece. I bet she'll be so happy to be out of that place. How is she feeling?

Robin - didn't you say that you're going on vacation soon? When is that? A warm place right about now sounds nice to me.

Jen - this morning Gabe was trying to find out when we will take him to the Bahamas. I showed him the waterslide pic and now he is dying to try it.

Hate to make this short but I've gotta go . . . BBL

JENNIFER - Hey, I heard something about the discovery that beet juice melts ice really well. No joke. At least I don't think it was.

DANA -

>Yeah, yeah, I'm the one that said I'd post the oatmeal recips. Perhaps this afternoon I will. Why would I have the recipe with me at work??? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

LOL.

Low Impact Circuit? You love this workout? It's fun? Wait, do I have that one? I literally don't know if I have it or not. I have to check. If you like it that much, I have to check.

You guys, I've overwhelmed myself by looking at various crock-pot recipes online. There were so many that now I am totally clueless at what the heck to make.

Tell me what to make.

Please.

Help.

:*

HIYA!!!!

Well, my day is not starting out how I planned AT ALL -- LMAO! I wish my sister would stop getting snow days off work -- she's snowed in at home, again, so she called me this morning BRIGHT AND EARLY and we talked for almost TWO HOURS ;( . She has so much anxiety in her life that I didn't have the heart to cut her off, but the whole time we were talking all I could think about was how much I have to do today ;( . So finally I said, "I love you but I have to go now" -- LMAO! So now I don't have time to play with you guys :(

AUGIE -- I believe Mr. Caw is a...a...a...a gray bird -- LMAO! I have no freaking clue what kind of bird he is. You need to zoom in and take a better picture. He kind of looks like a pigeon...or maybe a dove...NO, he's a sparrow...ROBIN!!!!!!(No, not the "BIRD" robin, Robin robin -- our Robin). Robin will know what kind of bird Mr. Caw is. ;)

I'll look over some vegetarian crockpot recipes for you later, kay? Oh! You know who will have loads of vegetarian crackpot (LMAO -- I mean CROCKpot) recipes? Shelley!! Shelley's a vegetarian and she uses a crockpot all the time. All my recipes are for meat so I know you won't like them. Do a search in the OD forum for "crockpot", or "crockpot recipes" -- there was a thread about that just recently.

By the way, the crockpot you bought is quite possibly the prettiest one I have ever seen -- EVUH! Your table and crockpot are so sheik and modern -- very clean looking. Love them, LOVE! I agree that arm chairs are preferable. And how great that you can work out the cabinet thing. Now you need something red. All rooms are supposed to have something red in them ;) :p

JENNIFER -- Snow, snow, and more SNOW!! UGH! You poor girl! Did your parents make it home from Florida okay? How's your dad?

DANA -- ^^^5's on your workout!! I need to do something with weights. Weights are what really changes my shape. I can do cardio all day long and it doesn't make me look any different, even when I lose weight, but lifting heavy leans me out the best.

I did my workout -- a 45 minute walking DVD -- at 11:00 last night :p

Alrighty, I have to go. I absolutely need to visit my niece today, and dear God, don't let me forget to pay my property taxes! They're due tomorrow and I don't want to get a late fee like I did last year. :p

I'll BBL if I can :* :*

ETA did you guys see this thread!? Look at SNM's 2nd reply.

http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=12&topic_id=1302&mesg_id=1302&page=

I can't wait!! :D :D :D

August - LIC is from the 2nd to last DVD's Cathe released. You'll love it - get it if you don't have it!!!!!

Michele - I just checked out SNM's reply and that looks really cool!!!

OK, I must get back to work. Toodles.

OATMEAL RECIPE

Here is the crockpot oatmeal recipe:

Overnight Oatmeal

2 cups skim milk
2 tbsp honey or ¼ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup dry oats
½ cup raisins (I prefer dried cranberries)
¼ cup walnuts
1 cup peeled, chopped apples
½ cup fat free ½ and ½
1 tbsp butter

1) Spray the inside of a slow cooker with fat-free cooking spray
2) In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the ½ & ½. Pour into slow cooker.
3) Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
4) Stir in ½ and ½ before serving.

This is very mushy and doesn’t look like oatmeal but tastes very good. I know that I am weird – instead of ½ and ½ I put a little bit of fat free vanilla coffee mate in mine. YUM!

RE: OATMEAL RECIPE

Speaking of recipes, I made the most delish curry chicken salad from the WW cookbook. I had it for lunch today - OMG I love it!!!! It has pineapples, grapes and walnuts in it.
