Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I think my husband is gonna have to go to the hospital. He is not doing any better with his coughing. Could be some damage done to the airways I would suppose that could cause more complications as I was reading. What ticks me off is that the regular (family) doctor took a chest x ray and only told us that there was inflammation. No, duh? There is more to it then that and needs either another chest x ray or have that chest x ray looked at by someone that is more knowledgable and then he needs some blood test. Could be a few different possibilities and from what I have been reading, it could be Legionnaire's disease. The scary thing is that he is still blacking out after he coughs. We both were told by the doctor that this just needs to run its course (supposedly being bronchitis)...the course should have been done by now, imo. Now I'm scared.

So was planning on going to my meditation class this morning and doing a cardio coach workout. Who knows now.

Oh Charlotte, I'm so sorry. I really hope that you get some answers soon and that it is something that passes quickly with proper treatment. I will think good thoughts for you today.

Not much going on here- swim class with the kids this morning. I love this, totally wears them out for the day. Then some sort of cardio for me when they nap- maybe RS or a Kelley Coffey Meyer DVD. I bought myself some new ones for my birthday and haven't tried them yet.

- That's funny, I am headed the same place myself this morning. Unfortunately DD has a cold and will have to skip this week, just DS is going.

Not much sleep last night so I was exhausted this morning. Let the kids sleep with me last night and DD beat the heck out of me in her sleep. Finally left at 2:30 am and went to sleep in her bed, but then hands were acting up. They have been really bad recently.

I did Step Blast and Stretch w/ the Stability Ball #2 from Cathe's Total Body Stretching . Workout was 1:11 and I burned 511 calories.

Debbie, I am loving your rotations. I hope there will another one coming in February. It is all much appreciated.

Good morning!

Yesterday I did shoulders & triceps and then last night I did Spinervals Dropping the Hammer. That was probably one of the toughest Spinervals I've ever done! This morning I just spun out my legs on the trainer for 60 minutes, keeping my HR at 140. Coach Troy kept stressing that you needed to take 24 to 48 hours of rest after that workout. If that doesn't get me ready for cycling season, nothing will! :D

Patti - I run kids' swimming classes through my program year round and they ALWAYS fill up right away!

Today I did a Cardio Coach mix I made up and had an excellent workout. It only had two challenges on it, but both were fairly long and tough. The first one was from CC #7, challenge #2 or #1 from PP and the second challenge was from #4, challenge #3.

Char - OMG! I think taking Bobby to the hospital is a wise decision. Blacking out with coughing spells just isn't normal. Prayers to you both! Keep up posted.

Roselyn - No, I won't be doing another rotation for February. Sorry! As much as I have enjoyed these last two months of rotations, I'm all Cathe'd out. I need to do my own thing for a while and then I'll tackle STS. Glad you are enjoying the rotations, though!

My workout is done. I have been doing some house cleaning. Since we have friends coming this evening. And are going out to dinner. Today I started with Empire State joint mobility and then did Providence joint mobility w/up then I did Providence skipping several rnds. I then did Empire State rnd 1 and 6, then 10 minute solution kettlebell with 15 and 20# kettlebells fat burner and upper power sculpt. Basically I skipped most lower body. I did jogging during rests. I followed with with power ninty X+ abs/core, then Tracey Staele's Parts dvd premix pilates, abs, yoga and stretch. I burned 912 calories 45% fat max hr was 160. Oh, I forgot to add that I did seated concentration curls 1 set L&R 25# 10 reps
then I did crossbody kickbacks L&R 14 reps 15#
I am thinking maybe I should have done these first to find my 1RM instead of after the workout? I may need to redo.

Sonya, I was looking through some of my Oxgen special editions the other day. There is a lot of good workouts in them.

Charlotte, I am sorry to hear Bobby is having so many problems. I know we tend to look at the worst case scenario. I pray that it will be something that they can take care of right away. Let us know how things go.

Debbie, why don't you tackle STS with everyone else :) Then do your own thing. Nice calorie burn.

Suz, are you going to start doing that Spinervals drop the hammer workout all of the time now?:p Really I bet it gets you in the competitive mood for cycling.

Linda, so sorry about your hands acting up lately. I hope you can find a way to get that under contol.
 
Back from hospital. Said there was nothing they could do. His vitals and everything very good..x rays and blood test, but his coughing fits were bad and at one point he looked like he was having a seizure and I had to yell for the nurses. It really freaked me out. He has to see a specialist..Ear and Throat doc. In the meantime, I am suppose to hope that he doesn't go too long without breathing..they really ticked me off at the hospital saying we could always come back..well, not if it is too late and he suffocates.:mad: So I have to wait til Monday when he sees the specialist. In the meantime, I have him listening to one of my hypnosis cd's to take his mind off the coughing and pray he sleeps. My daughter is coming home tonight so I can get some time to do laundry and workout when I can cuz we can't leave his side when he coughs he still blacks out.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts and prayers. I am very curious to see what the Ear and Throat Doc says on Monday.
 
Good evening! I opted for KCM's Cardio Kick Step Boxing- it was a terrific workout! I had so much fun- burned 730 calores in an hour, so no complaints on that. Plus, the choreography was interesting but not complex. Good stuff.

I must tackle my 1RMs with DH tomorrow on rest day. It should be interesting- looking forward to working out with him. Too bad we aren't doing cardio together because I could kick his bootie in that department. :)

Also checking in to see if there is any news from Charlotte, but not yet.

Debbie: I'm bummed you aren't doing another rotation next month. But I need to get ready for STS anyway and I can't do my 1RMs if my muscles are always fatigued from your terrific workouts. :) Maybe I will do some circuits for a few weeks just for a change.

Oh man Charlotte, I just saw your post- how completely scary and frustrating. I hope the ENT doctor can help you guys. Thank goodness your daughter can help. Thanks for keeping us posted- I will be thinking of you guys tonight.
 
Charlotte - That sounds like it was frustrating! I'm sorry you have to wait until Monday now. I'm sure you both are just so worn out.

Diane Sue - Funny about Dropping the Hammer - like I was with CC #8 and doing it all the time. Haha! I think I can only do it about twice a week. I have 2 other new ones too. I'm going to be very careful not to overtrain with cycling this year. I was really proud of myself for just spinning my legs out today. I am reading a chapter in Andy Pruitt's Complete Medical Guide for Cyclists and it's all about overtraining. Funny thing, they could be writing about ME! I was reading it to DH (on our drive back from Mac Grill) and he said that's me exactly. Hope you had fun with your friends tonight. :)
