Good Morning Girlies! :D

Well I made 10,000 steps last night but I had to stay up until 1030, marching in place in front of the tv to do it! :p It's like a work out in itself! Jeesh! :p

So as I said y'day today will be cardio or weights and Centergy Class.

That's all for now since I caught up with personals last night.

Good Morning, Wendy, and everyone who follows!

I got up and did Jari's Ripped to the Core this morning, followed by a quick mile on the treadmill. It was a great calorie burner, and I'm pretty sure I'll feel DOMS tomorrow. The endurance stuff does me in every time.

Wendy: Hope you enjoy Centergy! Good job on the 10k steps. I think I'll be lucky to get there today, seeing it's still raining out. Ugh...I hate this weather!!

Morning chickies !

Woo Hoo - Hump Day it is ! ! ! My DS and family are coming down on Sat so I REALLY can't wait for the weekend this week !

So ended up watching hockey so didn't turn on a CC last night - did a Metabolic HIIT run from one of my magazines and alternated between slow jog, fast jog and sprints. Whew - a hard 1/2 hour of running that had me at puke factor a few times. The hammies are a talkin' to me after the legwork on Mon. :eek:

Got a little motivated today and hit the TM for a 1/2 hour walk - so Wendy - I figured out that at a 15 mph walking speed (fast walk) I take 125 steps. That means my 30 min walk was about 3750 steps. You can just walk for a half hour around your block during the day and voila ! Lots of step there !

Off to go to work.

Great job on the HIIT run last night! They're evil :p

So do you mean a 15 minute mile on the tread equals 125 steps a minute? If so, that sounds about right to me. That's about what my lunchtime walk amounts to :) I've figured it takes me about five miles a day to hit 10k.

Hi Girls!

My work out is done. I got in a little over 3 miles on the TM with Grace followed by centergy class. Good stuff.

Obviously, having ran, my step count is waaaaay up there so I shouldn't have to struggle later to get in the 10k. ;) I did not, however, wear my pedometer for Centergy. Who knows what would have happened during down dogs! :eek::p

Jacque:: I've thought about taking walks to get my step count up there. So far it's just a thought but perhaps one day I'll actually DO IT! :p

Jen:: Stand up at your desk right now and march in place, girl! C'mon. Do it!!! :D No excuses for not getting that 10k in! If I can do it, you can do it! :p

Off to grab some lunch now...and maybe a nap too! :)

Wendy: The rain stayed away for my lunch hour so I got my walk in. I'm at 9479 for the day so far. Almost there!!
 
Hello ladies ...

I am finally back for a couple of days .. I am here to thank you ladies for safe flight vibes .. it worked ... both flights were 100% better than the last time we went to Vegas .. WHEW .. had my "fortification" in me too .. that helped!! We had an EXCELLENT time ... the funnest vacation we have had in some time .. I did win about $300 up from what I brought .. so after I bought souveniers - food - etc I STILL came home w/what I took :eek::D .. DH NOT so lucky :confused: .. but well worth it .. we never slowed down ....I will post some pics when I get a chance!! We came home and went right on to the beach .. my big babies were fine but ILL at me think they think we forgot about them .. We fished MON but came back home b/c I caught some kind of bug on the last night in Vegas .. I kept thinking it would get better but it didnt!! :( yesterday .. my vacation day .. I spent on the couch .. :( .. I feel better today .. but still not up to par .. sore throat - cough - clogged up head .. at least the fever is gone.. poor DH has it now .. ! But even getting sick we had a BLAST!!!

OK confession time: I did not count calories or limit myself .. CABS were too many to even name ... and no "official" workouts to report .. we DID walk .. and walk and walk .. we probably averaged 5 - 8 + miles a day .. so that helped .. I felt like I had gained 30# .. everything fit tight .. BUT I weighed and I only gained 3 pounds .. and after 2 days of sickness and barely any food .. it should dissapear .. I know my work pants today are loose .. thank goodness ... I am on vacation FRI we are deep sea fishing again FRI and SAT .. so MORE food and CABS . and NO exercise (except pulling in the big ones) which I DID .. I caught a HUGE grouper .. our DN came w/us ..his first deep sea fishing trip .. he had a fit over my grouper .. was so glad he did good!!!

Wendy .. did you and your DH go to Freemont ST to see the light show??? OMG we went and it was awesome .. we also went to the wax museum and the Shark Reef .. REALLY had a blast!!

Jen .. log some miles for me .. I am pitiful .. I am goofing off this week .. but after this weekend I may have to start logging steps .. miles .. food ... CABS ... something to get my butt back into gear and straighten out!

Jacque .. I have been uber busy .. DH and I did not want to take the laptop to Vegas .. I took it to the beach but did not have a spare moment to log on ..

Lori ... hope all is well with you!!

Di .. you must not be checking in like me .. hope everything is well!!

I have not had a chance to back read personals so please forgive me .. you can imagine what my work pile looks like .. but I had to sneak in a post to let my cyber exercise chicas know I am ok!!! Tired .. run down .. but basking in a WONDERFUL vacation!!! :D OK . gotta run .. have a good one!!!:D

I'm at 8961 right now. Admittedly I haven't been walking much since I came home from the gym though. :eek: I am supposed to scope out a gym tonight with my BF who is thinking of joining one. Hopefully it's a big gym with a long walking tour! ;)
 
Laura:: Glad you had a blast and I'm so happy the flights were smooth and worry free! :) No wax museum or Freemont street for us. :( I wanted to go to the wax museum but couldn't spark any interest from others and didn't want to go alone. We were supposed to check out Freemont Street but ran out of time. I intend to get back there though so I will see it some day!!!!! Definitely a vacation that keeps you on the move! I loved it!!! :D What hotel did you stay at? Good job with the minimal weight gain! Sorry you were sick when you got back though. What a bummer.
 
Laura: So glad you had a wonderful time! And came back with a little extra cash? Doesn't get better than that! Your big babies must have been soooooo glad to have you home. Wish you were feeling better though :( That's a real downer. Still in vacation mode relative to workouts? I don't blame you. Heck, it's Wednesday already, the week is half gone, why start now? Wait until next week :p (Wow, talk about enabling :rolleyes:, but that would totally be my attitude.) Hope the rest of your week goes well and you feel better very soon.

Wendy: 10k reached!! It took several trips to the bathroom, which is two floors down. Now I can sit on my butt for the rest of the day, woo hoo! ;)
 
Hey Wendy ... we stayed at Paris .. it was beautiful and we had an awesome view from our room ... You gotta do both the wax museum AND Freemont ST .. the wax museum was awesome!!!! They were so lifelike .. and it had a part to it that was optional called "scream" ... had wax statues and real live actors that would jump out at you .. scare you .. it was dark .. and all kind of sound affects .. the actors would jump at you and blow on your neck .. you could not get out unless you screamed REALLY loud .. luckily that was not a problem ... the girl in front of me screamed enough for all of us .. it was HILLRIOUS .. so much fun.

and Freemont ST ... the light show was awesome .. if you have ever been to New Orleans .. it reminded me a lot of that kind of atmosphere (but cleaner) ... people dancing in the street .. live bands .. casino after casino .. the light show played once on every hour a different show .. TOTALLY got to see it when you go back!!! the slots actually hit better there .. but did not pay as much ... the food and drinks were LOTS cheaper there too!! Maybe next year we could plan a trip and meet you there .. that gives me a year to work up a worry over flying .. LOL!!!
 
Quickie before I get waaaayyyy to far behind here ! ;)

Wendy - great job with the steps there. ITU about thinking vs doing . . . I know I have a TM sitting in my back room, BUT DO I USE IT ? ? ? Not often enough. Thus I decided this AM to not lounge in bed for an extra half hour but instead got up and watched the news while I walked. Now that is what I need to do every day. I have much more energy and don't feel so grumpy at having to come to work. Evening workouts are better for me for a few reasonos, but AM workouts get me moving and in a better mood. Perhaps I'll attempt the TM in the AMs for 30 min and see if my weight will budge too !

Have you heard about that office job yet? Inquiring minds want to know, ya know? :p And . . . you getting the rest of your steps in yet . . . :rolleyes:

Jen - Yep, meant 125 per min (noticed that just now . . . :confused:). I don't think it's too bad for a half hour. For me, just walking from one end of my house to the other to let the dog in and out is 50 steps - so I log quite a few steps just walking around the house. Sounds like you got a goodie workout in today. Hope they are the good DOMS you are feeling ! LOL about sitting on your bootie now that you hit 10K ! Shouldn't you now aim for something like 12,500 ? :eek:

Laura - Woo Hoo so good to hear you had a blast AND won to boot ! Sorry you and DH are feeling sicky though. Hope it passes soon so you are ready for another hoppin' weekend girl ! What type of tasting fish is a grouper? I've heard of them but don't think I have ever eaten one.

To heck with the calorie counts and exercise right now. You need some down time and so does DH ! Enjoy it because there is always tomorrow !

If you and Wendy plan a trip, . . . can I come too? :eek: I haven't been to LV for a couple years now and really want to go back.

Now for a goodie . . .

I was just a lurkin' over on one of the other threads, you know, with Fitness Freak - well in checking out her weight work today, STS had me just a couple lbs less on 2 of her exercises and matched on the others. She did a few more reps, but that made me feel pretty confident that I made some great strength gains.

Now if only I could eat like her and have her muscles . . . :rolleyes:

Okie dokie - back to work. Am hoping to work only 1/2 days tomorrow & Friday so I can CleanMax and just found out about a meeting tomorrow that I hadn't planned on. Need to get my "stuff" done . . .
