Hi ladies,

Magnolia Cruise sounds wounderful. I hope you enjoy the warm weather.

Going to bed two days in a row at 4am is just too much. At least I'm done with all the w-2's. Back to normal bedtime of 2am.:D

I'm going to try an catch up with STS this week since last week was mostly a rest week. I enjoy meso 2 and 3 more.

Today is birthday but I don't know what we will do to celebrate.

Jann I had planned to sleep in but ds called at 9 to wish me a Happy Birthday. We're off to the casino to have brunch and gamble a little. My db came into town yesterday so I could do his tax return. He said when he went to the post office to mail tax packet to me it cost too much so he decided to bring it to me. It's only a 5 hour drive. I think since he retired Oct 31 he has too much time on his hands. BBL Joan

I know all about retirement. Really at first I had all these great ideas of what I would do, get things done that never had time for, finally get to do things I wanted to do. I've done a lot and I do love my garden, my books, etc... but I missed people so much. Just having conversations about anything. I didn't realize how much I loved to talk -- maybe you guys already know that - :eek::D
Driving 5 hours to spend with my sister on her birthday would be nice. :cool: Enjoy!
 
I forgot to check-in. I jumped on the treadmill for 35 minutes. Now, I have to go shovel that darn snow.
 
i took the weekend off, well kind of, had the grandkids friday nite and sat. went to church this am and pampered chef party this afternoon and back to church after that. so, did n't workout , but busy as usual.
 
Good Morning,

Had a good workout this morning. I did 25 min on the Elliptical, 10 min solution Dance Off belly fat - latin flavor, and Cathe's Total body Stretching Segment #1. The stretching felt really good. I'm going to enjoy this active recovery week.
 
I did Power shaping with Tracie using light weights.
I saw on Face Book that Jen Carmen-Wells (theFirm/TLT's) was having her second baby due in July. I am so excited for her. :D

Cathy I just read your post. My DIL had a Pampered Chef party a couple of weeks ago. Did you get anything fun? I got one of those stone deep covered baker dishes. I didn't know you could use the stone in the microwave...:confused:
 
well, ya, i did , jann . dont' know why , cuz i don't even like to cook. LOL! but, i got my son and dil their b/day presents and i got something. i dont' even know. my dil ordered for me. LOL! the one thing i did get that i wanted was the magnet thing w/all the conversions on it. it is really cool!!! considering i'm about as good at math as i am computers. i have to call my husband or my son when i double, triple, or anything in a recipe. isn't that pathetic. now, i will have it all on my fridge. so, i spent like $100. i only went cuz it was a good friend of mine that i haven't seen in ages. she had her 3rd baby in july and i haven't even see her. but, it was fun. got to visit. but, the hostess made tiramasu for dessert w/coffee. YUCK!!!!! i hate coffee, so it was very easy for me to stay within my points yesterday. did n't care for much of anything she prepared.
the little shortbread cookies were good. well, off to w/out.
oh, yeah, i have lost 6#'s since the first of dec. doing WW. ain't that too cool!!!!??????

awww, that is so cool about jen. i just love her, she will always be my all time fave instructor. is she on facebook?

my w/out today was tight buns & killer legs & the 39 min. cardio premix from drill max. but, i cut off the w/up, cuz i had already done tbkl, so my w/out was about 60m. this month i'm gonna try 3-4 days of hard workouts and then in between do core/abs/yoga, something lighter. i am just worn out. i did a recovery week last week and took the weekend off and i'm still tired. so, gonna try it and see what happens.

jann, why would you w/out before you shovel snow? isn't that an incredible w/out in itself?
 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOAN! mine was jan 21, can't believe i'm 55. it is just not possible. how could us cool 70's chicks be 50??????????:)
my wonderful sister called me on my b/day to tell i am now a senior citizen, i told her i was not!! like she is a spring chicken. LOL! she is only 4 yrs. younger than me. i thought senior citizen was 65.
 
Cathy We can get a senior discount here at 60. I'm not there yet either. I have always said I was 25. The kids even have a candle that is 25 to put on my cake every year. I don't feel a bit different as long as I don't look in the mirror.

Jann and Linda I would like to take a "recovery week" but that is probably last week. The only thing I have to recover from is lack of sleep I certainly haven't been lifting enough to get anything sore.

I didn't have any appointments until tonight but the phone has been ringing off the hook. I'm done with clients at 8:00 so I need to do a wo.

The 2lbs I lost last week are back so I think they were just water weight. I don't know why I would have lost it and I haven't eaten enough to gain so I guess I really stayed the same.
 
Back again,

I haven't got wo in and an still trying to finish some tax returns.

I couldn't stop eating today. It was like I was starving. I tried to keep it healthy but the total calories was more than normal.

Jen is my Favorite too!! I know a lot of people thought she was to cheerleaderish -- I did not. Yes she is on FB.

The snow was really light and it didn't take very long to shovel so I really couldn't count it. :( Actually I could have used a broom it was so light - :eek:

Joan I had a "few" days like that last week. I could not eat enough. :confused: I still think my body goes through some type of cycle. I hope you are getting some sleep!

Today I woke up full of engery I don't know why but I am planning to take full advantage. I have been putting off some chores for weeks -- I plan to attack them today. But first I need to get my workout done. :D

I did 25 min on the Elliptical Trainer, 10 min Dance Off Belly Fat - Dancer's Silhouette, and Cathe's Stretch Max - Stability ball (I love this stretch....it really takes care of the lower back and shoulders).

Jann - Yes I love to dance. I have had 15 years of ballet training starting at the age of 38 and also took classes in modern dance, jazz, and tap. I stopped going to the studio this past fall. It reminds me too much of the past when my daughter trained at the studio (she became a professional ballet dancer at the age of 18 and did that for a year before injuries forced her to stop dancing). They were good times and I miss those times very much. I'm searching for something new to do....maybe learn how to play the cello is on my mind right now...always wanted to learn to play a string instrument...played the guitar when I was a teenager.

Joan - I understand about the eating thing....sounds like you are under a lot of stress. Don't know how you do it....staying up late and still be able to think.
 
Linda - I sorry about your daughter. {{Linda}} Starting at 38 must have been a bit of a challenge... :) Good for you! Cello - :cool:

I did Jenn's Strength in Movement a TLT workout. I love this workout!! It is one my most favorites. :D I can feel my waist shrinking -- ;)

no snow here, thank the LORD, but we are gonna have heavy rain the next 2 days. and cold. man, we have been cheated out of our nice texas winter. so, we had a miserable summer and winter. maybe spring will be nice, if it doesn't get too hot too soon. but, at least we will have wild flowers this year , since we have had rain. our spring ususally comes in march, so not long, but then the dreaded summer heat again. oh well, i'm done complaining. :)

Cathy you have to be a member to see that workout. :confused:
Do points= total calories? Like 19 points would be 1200 calories you just count calories differently so it's easier to add.
