Good Morning:

I did one of the pre-mixes on 4DS " Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps. I wanted to mix it up a bit, but did not realize until it started tht there was no warm up. Not good. I jumped right in but it felt weird. Now that I know, when I do the others I will tack on one of the warm ups, probably the kick box one.

Today's Menu"
Post Workout: protein shake with water
B: Cherrios w/blueberries, skim milk
S: LF Yogurt
L: Turkey on WW, grapes, skim milk
S: LF Stringster, apple
D: Chinese takeout
S: WW chocolate ice cream bar

Linny:
So sorry to hear about your son. Mono is nothing to fool around with. It's a good thing he was home with you so you could take him to the ER. Does he have to stay in bed for an extended time? My brother had mono when he was in school and it took him 6 weeks to recover. Needless to say, that semester was a bust for him and set him back. Good that you are getting him to a specialist.

Jen:
It sounds like you had a reaction to something. The fact that they put you on IV's means it was pretty serious. No way to figure out what did it?

Josie:
Which Pilates do you do?

Garance:
I can't believe you can do all the upper body from 4DS at one time! That is amazing. I get so tired from just the splits. Your sons friend sounds great.

Have a great day..

Deb;-)

Happy Tuesday, All,

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday Dear Linny,
Happy Birthday to you!! (and many more . . . )

I hope you have a wonderful day filled with fun.

Today I get to start working out with weights, but only 3-pounders this week. I'm going to do Gym Style Back, Shoulders, and Biceps, and feel like a total faker! Oh, well, baby steps.

Deb, the only way to know for sure what's going on with my allergic reaction is to go to an allergist and have one of those many-hours-long tests where they stick a bunch of needles in your back. If this happens again, that's what I'll have to do. I'm still slightly itchy at times, so I'm going to take all the medicine that was prescribed, even though the steroids are making my blood sugars go through the roof, and I'm afraid to go near the scale.

Garance, I'm sure your students have learned a lot from you and will take their lessons with them through their life. I know a little about how you feel. My mother was a professor of English and French until she retired. Sometimes those sessions of paper-grading were pretty depressing, but I've noticed that since she retired, she mostly remembers the good days and the great students. It helps that she lives in a smaller town now, so runs into some of them often.

Josie, good for you doing Pilates. I only have a few Pilates DVDs, and dread doing them.

Have a wonderful day,

Jen

Hi Deb and Jen and all to follow<

Today I will be running my usual 5.5 miles The pilates take that i have is the Windsor Pilates. My husband got it as a gift at one of his fuctions and it was ok. That is the only one that I have.

Jen, I'm glad that you are back at working out. Just be patient.

Linny, Happy birthday!

Josie

Hi everyone--

Today I did the double upperbody on Push/Pull. My knee continues to feel good so I will do some easy cardio tomorrow.

Deb, I think the entire upperbody premix on 4ds is not that hard because of the pauses.

Happy birthday, Linny!!

Jen, I just feel like you have been through one long episode of physical challenges--the elevator, then PT for that, then your thumb surgery, and now the rash. Makes me feel like I am a big whiner about my knee. By the way, when I retire, the one thing I will not miss is grading papers. I have come to loathe this task above all others.

Making "quick turkey curry" from epicurious.com tonight. Numm!

Hi Ladies:
Hey Everybody thanks for the Happy Birthday's! Was a very busy day,I think that it should be a law that you have to have your birthday off from work.(and paid too)
My DS went to MD today, she couldn't believe how swollen my son's throat was. He was started on predinsone, liquid darocet and tylenol with codeine. He came over tonight for birthday dinner and I could actually see the back of his throat. That prednisone is some good stuff. He looks like death warmed over though. Md told him that he has to take at least 2 weeks off from work she would prefer a month but I think he'd lose his job.
Garance: Take care with that knee.
Jen:On the rash, Do you think it has anything to do with menopausal symptoms?
Hi Deb and Josie,I'll check in tomorrow morning. I have to goto MD for ultrasound of uterus. And find out results of biopsy~Linny~
