High Rep Rotation

Cathlete
I'm looking for a rotation that stresses high reps, low weights... is there one? I'm about to start the Les Mills Pump workouts with my husband but when we are finished I want to get back to Cathe. I have High Reps, Power Hour and Muscle Endurance... is there a rotation including these?
Thanks!!!!!

Anybody? I just want to make sure I have any workouts that might be needed in case I need to order something. Surely there is a high rep, low weight rotation using Cathe workouts somewhere, but I just can't find it.
I have many other Cathe workouts but thought the ones I listed would best qualify as high rep. Am I right?
Thanks again.

Using the rotation stickies at the top, here is a list of rotations Cathe created with "endurance" in the title or description:

2003 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/april-rotation-muscle-endurance-235587/

2006 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/august-06-primarily-muscular-endurance-236328/

2006 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/sept-06-rotation-236357/

2007 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/february-07-cardio-muscle-endurance-236457/

2008 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/april-08-a-236765/

2008 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/july-08-rotation-236892/

2009 http://cathe.com/forum/f100/june-09-rotation-263723/

As you can see, nothing has endurance in the title or description after 2008--but that doesn't mean they don't exist! You'd have to go through each rotation listed in the sticky for Rotations from 2010 to present to see for yourself.

I always alter rotations. Right now I am doing Rock Bottoms, but I have altered it to include every single lower body workout Cathe has created while sticking to the core of her Rock Bottom's rotation. So once you get an idea of how she structures a rotation, it's easy to plug in similiar workouts that you own or like better. For instance, Xtrain has endurance workouts (Bi's & Tris and Chest, Back & Shoulders). In addition, though I haven't done them yet (received them yesterday!), I'm sure one of her newest workouts is endurance.

Hope this was helpful.

Hi Sammy,

Circuits and metabolic workout also qualify as endurance/hip reps workouts. Example cardiosuperset, supercuts, afterburn, new flex train are high reps.

There are more, Pyramid upper and lower body:):)

Hope this help

All the best:):),

Thank you both... yes, those were helpful answers.
I have been going through the rotations but just couldn't find the exact thing I was looking for.
I have seen others also list CTX Upper Body and CTX Leaner Legs as High rep, low weight workouts, so I need to get those and try to put together my own rotation. I am surprised that a "proper" rotation isn't out there somewhere that includes all of Cathe's high rep workouts.
Thanks again.

Hello,

Cathe's collection contains loads of endurance/ high reps work out. It's not possible to fit them all in a 1 rotation. Also to have a balance work out regimen, Most of us aim to mix up programs/ undulate.

All the best

It's been a long time since I've done CTX upper body (plan to revisit it this month) but I do not think it is high rep/low weight. I think that is one of her heavier strength workouts. I could be remembering wrong tho. The majority of her lower body workouts, however are endurance level workouts.

CTX upper body segment

[QUOTE i lifted moderate though between 70-80%.

Just wanted to clarify---70-80% of my one rep max could be light or heavier to any other fitness enthusiast. What I mean is each person one rep max depending on their ability is different.

Above 65% one rep is, as per training principles, considered as heavy weight. I have used the word moderate but it's relative;):D.

Happy safe lifting everyone ;);)

I did upper body CTX today and my arms are trembling as I am writting this post. Reps kept on adding up. Plus the eccentric/negatives sets added a challenging twist to the workout. It lasted 55 minutes but felt longer because of the contents. It's all good.:D;)

I would not dare 85% one rep max cause reps are high. Each set is 16 reps. i lifted moderate though between 70-80%. I loved staggered push up without variation. Especially for back there is 3 set of wide grip barbell row, followed by an additional set of close grip, one arm row (my favourite) plus bonus.
By the time I reached the triceps push up bonus, my arms were cooked:D:D

Looking back I still can not believe how I managed crazy 8 with ez curl:eek::eek:. Great stuff loved it.;)

Thanks for clarifying that. It's been so long since I last did it I couldn't remember--what I do remember is that is was hard! I am doing it again week after next. I don't know why I've waited so long to do it again. I guess because Cathe has so many awesome workouts, sometimes I forget about some of them.

Update: Sorry I accidentally deleted my original review. I re-posted hopping to avoid any confusion ;););)
