Weight Loss/Gain Forecaster

Our Weight Loss/Gain Forecaster has been developed by us to show you how a small change in your diet/exercise program can result in a large weight loss or gain over a long period of time. Just burning an extra 500 calories a day (one Cathe DVD)…or reducing your calorie intake by 500 calories…or some combination of both totaling a 500 calorie deficit will result in a weight loss of 1 pound per week. That may not sound like much, but over a year it could mean a weight loss of over 50 lbs for some people.

You can find our Weight Loss/Gain Forecaster on the main page for our free Workout Manager. The Forecasters main purpose is to estimate the amount of weight you could lose over a period of time based on your current TDEE and the calories you consumed today. Your TDEE will change over time as you lose or gain weight and this means the accuracy of this calculator decreases with time.

Our calculator is only accurate for healthy weight loss or weight gain. The American College of sports medicine (ACSM) says that the daily calorie level consumed for women should never drop below 1200 calories per day and 1800 calories per day for men. In, some cases this may still even be too much of a reduction and could cause severe health problems and cause your BMR to drop significantly.
