Summer Red Energy Smoothie

Ingredients

1 frozen banana
2 beets (no tops) cut into pieces
5 strawberries (handful or so)
Chia seeds (handful)
1 watermelon, cut in half (use half)

Directions:

Cut one watermelon in half and scoop out watermelon into blender. Add frozen banana, strawberries, beets, and chia seeds.

Blend. You can enjoy half immediately, and then put the remainder in the refrigerator to drink later.

Great for the skin, especially in the summer.

  • Hello- Is there a typo? One whole watermelon cut in half? This is for two servings? Sounds a bit off….

    You are right. I should have made it more clear. I use a medium sized watermelon. Cut it in half. Then I use what’s in that half. Not the whole watermelon. It gives a lot of water so you don’t have to add any. If you don’t want that much, use less. I would say 4 servings. (Making it again now so I wanted to let you know.) 🙂
