I worked out with weights on my own before I knew about Cathe. I started with the Body For Life workouts. These are similar to Cathe's pyramids. I still like working on my own but Cathe offers so much variety, and since they are already planned out, with pre-mixes etc. it;s just easier to use them and more fun!
I create my own cardio workouts. I went to a fitness bootcamp for a year and really learned so much about using different pieces of fitness equipment and structuring a workout. I have tons of these workouts written out but I have only tried a couple of them. I need to do them outside so right now I can only do them on weekends. I live in the South so I can do the workouts outside all year long.
I like to do Cathe's weight workouts because it's easier to have someone count for me.
I like to mix it up...sometimes I do my own cardio thing and Cathe weights and sometimes my weight routine and Cathe cardio.....I find that she pushes me harder so after doing my own thing she kicks my butt....and I like it
