THIRD TRIMESTER FINALLY!!! Hi ladies! I hope everyone is having a great week. Mine has been busy. I've been shuffling rooms around, trying to get ready for our baby's arrival. I'm about 1/4 done & I have about 13 weeks left... We'll make it. Here's my workout schedule for this week:

Sun: Power Circuit
Mon: off
Tue: 10-10-10
Wed: painted & shuffled rooms for 5 hrs (this counts, right?)
Thurs: Step & Intervals
Fri: All Step
Sat: off
**I'm trying not to bounce around as much as in the past b/c my back has really been bothering me. Up to this point I've done all power jumps & biojumps, etc...

Today I will paint another room. I'm covering up dark green with white, so it may take a little while. I'm using a dual woolie roller. It's effects are really cool. It's exciting getting things ready!!!

Hi girls! Melanie - it sounds like you had a very busy week! It is fun to do the bedrooms! It is equally as fun to see them actually enjoy all of the hard work that you put into them! Next month we are going to get our two year old a "big boy" bed and get him some new furniture so that we can start getting the baby room ready. It should be fun - a new adventure for him anyway. ;-)

Well, here is my last week's workout schedule:
Sun: C&W-cardio and abs
Mon: MIS - Upper Body (no abs)
Tues: Rhythmic Step
Wed: Body Max - Legs & intervals
Th: off
Fri: C&W- cardio
Sat: Body Max - Upper body

I was bummed that I didn't get any yoga in this week. I have just been adding in extra stretching after my workouts. I guess that I am officially in my 2nd trimester now!!! It is still a long way to go, but this is the enjoyable part. I can't wait to feel the baby move! Have a great week girls!! :D

Sara, you are doing awesome! Keep up the good work. 2nd trimster is great. My ultimate favorite thing about pregnancy is feeling the baby move around. It's so wonderful & fun! Yesterday it seemed the baby didn't stop moving. I was even awakened a couple of times with him moving around. It's so awesome! This is my 2nd child (my first one is 9 years old already). How many children do you have?

Hi Melanie! I only have one other child. He turned 2 in July so he will be almost 3 when the new baby arrives. When did you start to feel the baby move? I don't remember from my last pregnancy. I also can't wait to find out what we are having! I go back and forth about which I would prefer. I guess that my main concern is a happy and healthy baby, of course!!!

I just checked my log and it was around 18 weeks. I don't remember anything from my 1st pregnancy (it was so long ago). I have been keeping copies of my workout logs from this forum as a "diary" of this pregnancy. I have pretty much shared all my anxieties & victories here...so it's a perfect diary.

I remember when I felt the movement I wasn't sure if it was really kicks or not. I didn't feel them consistently. I remember this moment in particular b/c I was at work and this guy was yelling at me & all I could do was smile real big b/c I felt my baby move for the first time! I wasn't going to let that grumpy guy steal that moment from me!

We weren't going to find out the sex of the baby either. We had an abnormal screening test so we ended up driving a couple hours away for a Level 2 Ultrasound. At that point we wanted to know EVERYTHING! The test came back normal & we found out we were having another boy. We were on cloud 9 for at least 48 hours straight!

Melanie....that's a great idea...I didn't realize that what we are typing here makes a great journal for our pregnancies. I keep a workout log which has been rather blank with these last few weeks being so crazy. I have to tell you guys...I kept my weight down really well the last two weeks while I was taking a break and catching up on sleep. I notice that I definitely eat less when I'm not working out....which is kind of frustrating right now. I did Tae Bo and CTX upperbody yesterday, and Imax II in it's entirety today with very little modifications and I swear when I got on the scale AFTER IMAX II, I had gained like 2-3 pounds (just in the last two days). (which kind of balances out as I lost some in the past two weeks). It gave me the mental illusion that if I'm not working out I'll lose weight and vice versa....which I know is no reason not to workout!!!! x( x( x( x(

Anyway...I'm back on track this week and feel like going full force. Sometimes a break can help. I'm still feeling better than the first two trimesters, I don't really feel that huge yet, and IMAX II was much better today then it was in the earlier part of pregnancy, I could only get through half of it back then....what's the deal!!

And Melanie...I cleaned out part of my basement and was thinking you would be proud of me. I cleaned out the freezer too and canned everything that was in it...big big big job. Cranberries, strawberry jam, chicken, tomatoes which I had frozen since it was too hot to can before, and I'm doing more chicken and strawberry jam today!! It's feeling good to get a little organized!!

Oh, Sara, I felt movement around week 18 too, now he never sits still, this is by far the most active baby I've ever had, in utero at least. My husband asked me how he did through IMAX II today and I said, I'm sure no worse off than labor!! Have a great week guys!!

Briee, Congrats on cleaning out your freezer and basement. Way to go, not to mention breezing through IMax2, a feat I haven't attempted in a while. Actually, I"m taking my intensity down a level. I"m not doing the plyojumps & jumping as much. My back has really been bothering me. I purchased a new a pair of Ryka's yesterday. My old pair was showing some sole wear--perhaps that's one reason why my back has been sore? Anyways, I"m trying to hang low for a while. I don't think I could do Tae Bo right now. I'm impressed that you are able to keep up your intensity level. Maybe I"ll get another energy burst down the road. ;)

I did, however, manage to paint another room. I know I'm not suppose to be exposed to the paint fumes, but this stuff just has to get done! I did take several breaks and had fans on. The rooms are little & didn't take me that long.

I think it was the break that gave me some added energy today....it's not always that way. I have had a blast doing Tae Bo, I love the 8 minute workout to use as a warm up for CTX Upperbody or any other heavy lifting day, just plain fun!!

Have you tried lots of cat stretches for that back pain...sometimes that helps. You know the ones where you are on all fours and you arch your back and then let your back go back down and then arch up again (does that make sense). I love how this feels if my back is ever tired. You are the amazing decorating machine. Just keep those windows open so you get some fresh air. I finished staining our deck about 3 weeks ago and I know I wasn't supposed to do that either...I figured the fumes wouldn't be too bad as I was outside....but the being up on a ladder 15 feet in the air and hanging off the sides to get those unreachable spots by ladder probably wasn't wise either. It's just one of those things....if you don't do it yourself it won't get done!!!! You're getting some great upperbody work painting all those rooms :D :D :D :D !!! (come to think of it...your back might be hurting from the painting...I ached quite a bit more when I was doing the deck - I don't have any problems now that I'm done)
