I only have a second...just walked in from celebrating Mother's Day with my MIL and now headed out to celebrate with my kids and grandkids.:7 I found this clip where Mother's Day originated & thought I'd share:

Mother's Day celebrations date back at least as far as ancient Greece. In 17th. century England Christians celebrated Mothering Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent, to honor faithful moms.

In 1908, the first Mpther's Day celebrations in the United States took place when Ana Jarvis of West Virginia wanted to unite families separated by the Civil War by dedicating a day to mothers.

In 1914, Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday of May to be the official Mother's Day in the United States.

Just thought you moms would like to know!
