What is the silliest exercise costume you've

ever seen in a home video? I was cleaning out some cabinets yesterday & believe it or not I still have the Cher/Kelly Roberts video & just for the fun of it I stuck it in to watch a few minutes. I just could not believe:

1) that Cher is comfortable stepping in a black teddy & fishnet hose
2) that I actually used to think it was a tough workout

Although I do have to admit, Cher was fun & Keli Roberts was pretty good considering the old days.......I wonder what she's doing now?

I keep thinking of this Cosmopolitan video I bought in the early 90s. It was set in a NY "studio" and featured a bunch of stick-thin women doing some dancey version of floor aerobics. I seem to recall they were wearing turquoise, full-body, lycra suits. Like wet suits without the arms. Hehe.

Oh gosh yes. Definitely the Cher one with the fishnets and the ruffles. I don't remember ever thinking it was a tough workout, but I really liked Keli Roberts. And Cher was fun. I remember she made all those funny comments. All her backup exercisers looked anorexic though.

Dear Cher - we love her but she needs to dress her age just a little more. She is fast looking like Norma Desmond (hope I spelled it right!) in Sunset Blvd.! She is really getting to look like a cartoon. Other than that, I've always liked her.

There's a step-kickbox CIA workout with Becky Chamberlain in which she is wearing a shiny silver outfit that makes her look like an astronaut, or ready to be stuck in the oven to bake!

One Crunch video has an instructor wearing an outfit similar to Cher's black lace get-up, and she does some rather suggestive pelvic thrusts at one point.

Greg Twombly (who used to produce Cathe's workouts, and still directs them) wore what is fondly known as 'the bee' suit in one workout (or at least the intro). There was some black and white striped spandex involved.

Hee hee, Kathryn! I have both the Becky Chamberlain (aluminum foil, anyone?) and the "bee costume" CIA. I also remember one with Greg in shiny green spandex too. Women and shiny spandex looked kinda silly but MEN in shiny spandex just looked ridiculous (and run the risk of a little too much detail outlined by the spandex, if you know what I mean). There was a guy in the old Charlene Prickett videos who wore various one piece spandex outfits that were just nasty.

I had a couple of Bess Motta workout records (vinyl).
