What do you do??

What do you do when you are looking to lean out and/or lose those last few stubborn pounds? Do you focus on heavy lifting or more cardio? My first inclination is to focus on lots of cardio, but given some various things I've read over the years, I'm wondering if that's really the best solution. I know diet is SUPER important when you're trying to lean out, and I've been clean for the past two to three weeks with absolutely no results. My typical routine is circuit or strength training on M,W,F and Cathe cardio (so at least an hour) on T,R,Sat. Sundays are my rest days. Any opinions, suggestions, recommendations or theories are much appreciated!!

Thanks!:)

I had a hard time losing those last 5 pounds: they just didn't want to budge (and I was just trying to get to a weight that I had been at previously, so I knew it was an attainable goal for my body). Here's the rotation that helped me (as well as cleaning up the diet a bit):

Day 1: Interval cardio (I planned to do Imaxes, but ended up doing mostly Cardio Coach on the rebounder)
Day 2: short cardio (10-20 minutes) followed by full body weight workout (at the time, I used one of the TLT workouts)
Day 3: kickboxing (steady state)
Day 4: 10-20 minutes cardio followed by lower body (I used the Firm Transfirmer workouts here)
Day 5: yoga/stretch
Day 6: 10-20 minutes cardio and upper body weights
Day 7: core/abs and stretch
