Go you for that awesome w/o today! You blew yourself out of the water, gal ;) I am humbled and impressed. You have really come a long way, and remember Joey is not even a year yet! ^^^^^5!

Tomorrow I think I'm gonna tackle Cathe's advanced treadmill w/o at the gym. If you have a coffee IV ready for me I'll have one for you ;P

I can tell ya what I did today will NOT be my norm! I think I'd keel over inside of a week! LOL :eek: :7 :p It's fun though to really go above and beyond at times and see if you can handle it!

Even if the w/o isn't the norm, it's fantastic to be able to accomplish it when you do. Some of us pay attention even if we don't post about the w/o we see ;) I'm sneaky like that. Well also we're kind of in the same boat with the little kiddos and PG weight, ya know??? WOO WOO!

Here's the w/o. I copied from the Rotations board. I may have to modify....


Cathe’s Advanced Treadmill Workout

3.4 - 4 min.
3.8 - 4 min.
4.4 - 4 min.
5.5 - 4 min.
6.5 - 5 min.
7.5 - 10 min.
8.0 - 5 min. (OPTIONAL!)

Slow down over 1 min. to 3.8

Raise incline to level 14 and walk uphill for 10 min.

Lower to level 9 and increase speed to 4.8 for 5 min.

Lower to ground level over 1 min.

Then do:

4 interval cycles of 8.0 for 1 min. and 6.0 for 30 seconds.

Finish with:

6.0 - 2 min.
3.8 - 3 min.
3.4 - 3 min.
3.0 - 4 min.

Wow, that treadmill work out sounds like a goodie! Let me know how you fair. Are you a regular on the treadmill at the gym?

I don't have one and I am not a member of a gym. I have been a member of many a gym on and off over the years though and never really liked the treadmill much as I thought they were boring but now I'm suddenly wanting to try my hand at running and a treadmill (in my home) would be wonderful in that capacity....it's not gonna happen any time soon...maybe one day though...a girl can dream, right? ;)

BTW-I am drinking a cup of coffee right now!;) :9 :)
 
Did Cathe seriously post a treadmill workout? That just seems so silly to me. I mean, everyone is going to have a different heartrate at those speeds and inclines and the point is to stay in your individual target zone, so how can anyone prescribe how fast you should be running or how high your incline should be?? If I walked at 3.8 at a 14 incline my heart rate would break 200 and I'd probably drop dead. Soooo unhealthy.

Nancy Nancy Nancy. Phhhhhbt :p I would think her treadmill workout is a rough guideline and you can move it up or down depending on your personal heartrate. Remember -- it's not a carved in stone everyone has to do this setting deal -- modify modify modify. Tsk, tsk, hasn't Cathe taught you anything ;) I think it looks like a butt kicker to me.

Hey Wendy, I try to get on the treadmill at least once a week. I can't run outside and leave Boybster alone (though maybe I could train him to have coffee for me when I come back) so I run indoors. We have a corporate membership through DH's work. It's nice to mix it up b/c I tend to get bored or burnt out doing too much of one thing.

Oh & I'm drinking coffee too! The shock of it all.

LOL, Debbie...I think once Joey is old enough to use electrical appliances the first thing I will teach him is how to make coffee!!!!;)

The gym must be nice with the baby sitting room! Even nicer because Boybie LOVES it!:+
I wish I had the motivation to do the gym thing but I have tried many-a-time and never gotten past the 3 month mark. For 3.5 years now I have been doing strictly home work outs on a very regular basis...I guess I shouldn't fix it if it isn't broken, huh? :)

I'll bet you will do that treadmill work out to the T! I'll be you don't have to change a dang thing cause you are a Catheite and you are STRONG! I wanna hear your ROAR! Say GRRRRRRR for me!!!! ;) :p }( :+ :7 :7 :7
