I couldn't stand it any longer and my back was good last night and this morning, so I worked out!:eek:


My back finally felt good for 3 days in a row, so I decided to workout today, but taking it REALLY easy....did my own workout this morning incorporating pttp dl and press.....

NOTES:
**took it REALLY easy today....the up side of that is my form was "spot on!". I was able to implement all the key points Melissa mentioned with my form and it really made a difference, especially with the press!:)

My brother emailed me a link to have a "real" blog on the internet....I am thinking of doing it:eek::eek::eek:.....I feel so safe and in a cocoon in Cathe land here, but I may be ready to take the big step too!!!LOL

The boys are each inviting some friends over and are going to have a party, so I guess DH and I are chaperoning! :):)

Keep your fingers crossed....I'm going for a run tonight if no emergencies crop up. I haven't worked out in a week and I'm going crazy!!!

Deanie ~ Yay!!! I'm glad you're feeling better and could workout today. Yes, yes, yes....go for the blog. You have lots of good information that you can share with others.

No plans for New Years. I ordered some Chicago pizza so I'll be having that and watching movies. My sister Mary gave Jean (my other sister) and I a free day on New Year's Day (meaning no going over to mom's house all day). I'm not sure if I can do it but I'll try. I was going to take mom shopping last Sunday but didn't get to do it because dad was in the hospital so I may see if mom is up to it. Does that count?? :)

Good Afternoon!

Did 2 3/4 chinups and 3/4 pullup. Then did Squeeze Stronger Upper Body & Waist. Went up to 8# on biceps and shoulders. Didn't do waist except for leg lifts. Then I did Step Moves. Wasn't sure if I was going to like it while I was doing the warmup but it got better and I enjoyed it. Fresh, new choreography with a few old moves like power 3s and power 7s and some old moves with new spins on them. Music was better. I'm really glad that these are shorter workouts because it gives me time to do other stuff.

Deanie - I'm glad you're feeling better, taking it slow and that Melissa's tips worked for you. I don't have a heavy bag either but I will try the workout. I did a heavy bag workout once last year at the gym and the bag really makes a difference with the intensity. No thoughts about getting one right now. No dancing until end of next week. I'll be going to a couple of dances in January and a couple of workshops (two-step, a 4-hour workshop on Exhibition/Styling and Body Lines and maybe a quickstep or bolero workshop.) Nothing special for New Year's. We don't usually go out. A friend at work gave me The Proposal and Hangover so I guess we'll be watching movies and taking down the tree and putting away all the decorations. I say go for the blog! You might wind up getting lots of followers. Have fun chaperoning!:D

Jane - I'm glad you got hospice care for your dad. You would think they would know the research that you showed them. Yes, taking Mom shopping still counts as a free day since it's a fun thing to do. Hope you get a nice run in tonight!

Gayle, I think that the "p" word is probably more accurate for how the entire Central IN fans feel!!! :mad::mad::mad: What were they thinking, letting them play for the first 3/4 of the game just to pull them out???

Deanie, our friend is from NY and he was excited too... only I wonder how they would have done against the real Colts team! :p
Would you mind posting what you did for the first week of ETK - or is it on your blog? I have been warming up with the TGU, wall squats, etc. really trying to perfect my form. I am getting mighty pumped!
Also, I went to a doc for my back and she gave me a brochure of exercises to do, and each of the ex. I gave you was on it. Just keep stretching, even if you think that you are all better... and this could be a great way and start to get the boys (DH included) to do some vacuuming for you ;)
Also, your blog is what helped me really get into serious kettlebells, FWIW. :)

Jane, I feel you! I did 1 workout in 12 days and nothing about that feels good. I got my fingers crossed for you!

Marcy, you have to let me know when you see Hangover! It was a bit inappropriate which made it insanely hilarious!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Rhonda, I hope that all is well for ya, chicky! Are you enjoying your break???

I did Diva on Monday, ran 18:30 minutes for 2.11 miles (I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!) and today I did Providence and a bunch of pull and chin ups - I totally didn't keep track.

Deanie - Yay! I'm glad you got to workout. :) I also think you should blog. I'll totally follow you. I grew up in upstate NY and was a Jets fan during high school (the Gastineau years :eek:) but they broke my heart one too many times back then, so I jumped on the Patriots bandwagon...back before Bledsoe though...and those weren't good years either! :p:D

Jane - I hope you got your run in! I hope you and your sister get some fun in this weekend. You both deserve it. :)

Today I warmed up with some of P90X+, got bored with it, and decided to do "Jones Crawl" instead. I think that set is going on eBay soon.

3 Rounds - I didn't time it, but based on the songs I got through, I guesstimate about 12 minutes. ;)

I got the remainder of the base cabinets put together and installed today. :D So, I felt productive.

DH and I are staying in for New Year's eve. I'm making Cobb salads with shrimp and we'll probably watch movies...or college football if there's a good game on.
