Tried to do wb workout on iPad but would not load. Worked fine on chromebook so not my
Internet. Tried iPad again but no go....but on demand worked on iPad....are you all working on
Something which would have something to do with iPad?

Hmmm....that's strange, it works on my iPad with IOS 7 but not with iPad running IOS 6 but up
Until today, it worked on iPad with IOS 6 because that's the one I always use. Strange!

We had a major WB update last week, but nothing since then. The WB doesn't work very well on any version of iOS as it is designed for a computer. However, we are making a lot of progress on our iOS App that I think you will really like when we release it.

Yep, that's probably what happened, but just wondering, why would the update stop the blender from
Working on my mini with IOS 6? It played flawlessly on it with no stops between chapters. It does play on
My mini that has IOS 7 but I get the slight pause between chapters but it doesn't stop...no big deal, cause the
Blender works great on my chromebook. I would have serious withdraw issues if I couldn't get to my
Blender workouts!!! :)

API's and the code they use commonly run into issues with older operating systems. Thus when you upgrade an API the code that is used in the API is newer and may not support an older OS. This is especially true with iOS Apple products. Apple doesn't believe in supporting older operating systems in many cases beyond a few years as it increases the size of the operating system and slows it down and also may cause security issues.

When we release our new iOS App the problem of the video playlist stalling after each segment will go away for your premixes on newer versions of iOS. Not sure if it will work for iOS 6 though. I'll have to check on that.

I use my chromebook most of the time, but I do hope that the new app will work with at least IOS 7 cause I have 2 mini's that run 7.
Guess, when the time comes, I could get a new mini, might have to sell something ! :)

Hi again, would it be possible to find out what the minimum IOS requirement will be with the blender app? (For example, Ios6 or IOS 7, or IOS 8). I
Looked at iPads &minis today but don't want to have to get a new one if I don't
Have to....but there are good prices some places right now.....I have minis with
6 &7 and a touch with IOS 8... Thanks if you can!

Really won't know for sure until the App is done and tested, but is there is a reason you're not updating your iOS on your iPad's?

:) yep, there is , a crazy one I know, but you know the ole saying, "if it ain't broke,
Don't fix it! I have so many other apps (older ones mostly) that I love and
Use and work great so I leave well enough alone,,,,there has been a time or 2 that
Others have maybe updated and then it wouldn't work right, or whatever,
Case in point, with the blender and IOS, it worked like a charm on IOS 6,
Until recently...I use my chromebook now, but do like using iPad too,
I am looking at maybe getting a new iPad and I believe the lowest on newer
Ones is 8.

You have to remember the current Workout Blender is not an app. It just works through your web browser and what it supports. An app lets us control more things like the player used. It is Apple's player that prevents the WB from playing a premix without stalling after each chapter. In an app we can use our own player and thus the reason for stalling goes away. I think you will generally find not updating an iOS causes way more problems than updating your iOS.

The iOS version also has very little to do with app working properly. The one exception will be the player we license and use in the app. The player will have some backwards compatibility, so you won't need the most current iOS, but the player over time will be updated by the company who created it and this means the minimum iOS requirement will change over time. This is something we have no control over, but we will always make sure the WB app and player works on the most current iOS version.

Thanks for taking the time to explain things, makes sense.....I know this is probably gonna be a dumb question, but even after you
release the Apple app, we will still be able to use the workout blender on a computer, laptop, Chromebook, etc.....I hope?

Sure, the Computer web browser version will still be available and will probably remain the most popular way for most people to use the Workout Blender.
