Waffling about skipping workout

Hey ladies!!! I know, I know, I know, skipping a workout will not be the death of me. I'm leaving tomorrow noon time (from work) to visit an Aunt in Iowa. I will come back on Saturday, then I am off to a 4th of July picnic Sat afternoon. I MAY die if I miss 3 workouts. Today is MM, tomorrow was scheduled as a cardio day, and Fri was scheduled for the Gauntlet. I was thinking I could do cardio early in the morning, but if I have to get up at 5 am to squeeze it in before work, I will be sound asleep by about 9 pm - not good for visiting w/ the relatives who are night owls. I was thinking I could take my running shoes with me and run in the morning on Friday, but she said her nieghborhood is all big hills. (I am not a fan of running hills, but it is good for me) I also thought I could maybe bring KM or KPC w/ me bc they don't require much space or any equipment, and borrow her living room for an hour. But then, a day off would be nice, but I don't like to take 2 days off in a row. We will be out and about on Sat with a lot of walking, so its not like I will be inactive. I can get the Gaunlet back on schedule when I get home on Sat. On the other hand, all my joints are still achy (ALL of them) as I posted a while back - I'm waiting for my new ins cards - much better coverage - in case the Dr wants to run any tests, so a couple days break may be a good thing. My body just craves the intense workouts though, when I miss (esp more than a day) I get kinda antsy and crabby. What would you ladies do? Take running shoes and KM or KPC and if time permits, do it? Or just leave it all at home and forget about it?

I'd take it all with me so if the "antsies" hit (I get them too) I'd be prepared. But I'd also add the mental footnote that if I don't do it, it's OK. But I'd want the stuff with me.

I'd probably shoot for waking up at 5am and working out early - at least then you KNOW that you would do it. (Although I'd probably have to have extra coffee to stay up visiting relatives:)) For me personally, anytime I try to plan on working out when I'm staying with someone, it never ends up happening. But that's just me. It would be cool if you took the dvd's and got your relatives to join you - you never know!

How about this: with the achy joints just walk those hills. No jogging. 45 minutes in your THR should be easy to get with the added hills. Be kind to your joints, their the only ones you are going to get.
