Morning Yogini's -
This morning I did Day 2 of the M&F Hers Time to Burn Fat Workout. I went thru the circuit 4 times instead of 3 times and added on an extra set of walking lunges - 30 reps, as well as an extra set of biceps and triceps in the last 2 circuits, as well as a set of DB chest presses. Used the stability ball for the plank holds and placed 5 pounds on my back for these. I think I might have had the weight plate too low on my back, as my low back feels achy now. For the cardio segment, I did 30 sec's super fast running on the Rebounder (got my HR up to 164) followed by 30 sec's jog on the Rebounder and repeated this 12 times and then did Gliding and Jogging for the last 10 minutes when it tells you to walk or jog and then cooled down for 5 minutes. Workout was 65" and I burned 546 calories. (my shoulder's really painful from doing all those pushups lately.....my injury side that acts up and my other side just has the sciatica pain running all the way up my back and into my head!! Lovely!!).
I then did 10 Min Solutions Rapid Results Pilates - Leg/Butt Segment 10" and the Pilates Stretch segment 10". I also did AM Yoga with Barbara Benagh - Gentle Wake Up segment 35".
Kel - I can't believe I've been doing (and starting to enjoy) such slow yoga practices.....although I confess, I do fast forward thru some of the slowness to get into the pose.....I'm not perfect!! Speaking of DB's, I really need 30# and 35 pounders....but have no money to purchase which I'm a bit bummed about, as I'm ready for 30's with some chest work and lat work.
Jen - I must be a bad Mom....cuz little Brookie's been bugging me in the middle of my workouts lately wanting attention and I've had to ignore her. I did box with her during my cardio workout yesterday cuz she came up on the chair all excited when she saw me going back and forth across the room (cuz she thought I was kickboxing). So i played with her a bit. My DH finally saw her sitting on the edge of the dining room table as I was doing high jumps on the Rebounder -- and Brookie gets up on her hind legs and tries to bat at me waving her paws madly in the air. Wish I had a video camera....it's quite funny. She's a little crazy girl! Yes........I NEED more beach workouts. Wish I could find some cardio beach workouts.
Speaking of workouts, I ordered another Caribbean Pilates DVD last night from Amazon, as well as Progressive Pilates with Liz Gilles, Rael Pilates, and the new Shape Pilates with the band one. They were all relatively cheap....some were only $4 or so.
