Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Patrick Goudeau's Dumb Training. Workout was 58" and I burned 400 calories. This was a good workout, as it was mostly compound movements so you kept your HR up and really worked the legs with tons of lunges, etc. The intervals were very short and somewhat lower impact. I can see myself reaching for this one a lot. Not a killer workout, but it seems hard enough to be effective and I really like Patrick's unique FF moves. His workouts make nice complimentary work to Cathe's!
I also did Ravi & Ana's Doctor Yoga House Call - Move for Your Energy - Move Your Life - 10" and Anti-Arthritis segment 10".
I'm bummed cuz I had every intention of getting up an hour earlier so I could do an add on to the Patrick workout and then do an hour of yoga....but I didn't hear my alarm. I really need to start working on that and on moving quicker in the shower, etc.....as I'm so spoiled from being off all of this time and not having to be any where! I'm going to be going crazy when I start my new job......cuz it's 1/2 hour away from home -- plus I have to change my clothes at work, so I'll have to get their early. Too bad I can't find a way to downsize my "morning beauty routine"........yikes...I"m so high maintenance.
Jen - I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'm glad you and the DH are "going for it" though. Too bad it's going to be so expensive. My heart goes out to you. I don't really know what else to say except we're here for you. I'm glad the person you had to meet with made you feel at ease! Finally, someone that is competent at their job and is obviously in the right profession. I think certain people are really good at easing tension in people and she must be one of them!. Is Lenny still on the upswing? I hope so, as I don't know how you'd make it thru both of those major problems!
Re: Minna - I like her too....but sometimes she gets on my nerves. Don't know why. I'll try that workout some day. As far as what you said about wasting your time, I know exactly how you feel......but I've been trying to drill a concept into my head. Ever since my second stress fracture in my foot, I've been thinking that I OBVIOUSLY must be overdoing it a bit with my workouts and trying to beat my body into submission instead of nuturing it! I think as we get older, it's probably a good a idea to have a couple easier days.....so I'm trying to make it "okay" in my head that when I do a workout like you describe....that it won't hurt me, but it might help me....as my body probably needs an easier workout now and then and because of my personality, I don't think I get many of those workouts on purpose. Anyway, I wouldn't beat yourself up about it.
Yve - glad you're work days are getting better. I miss your chatting around here.
Kel - where the heck are you? Are you okay?
I called Walgreen's last night and told them I was serving a notice. I told them my last day will be on 11/19. I figured that a 1 week notice was adequate, as I've only been there a few weeks. She didn't sound happy about that.....cuz I'm scheduled for Thanksgiving and the day after........but why should I do that if I'm quitting? I thought I did the decent, fair thing....but everyone has an opinion and she might not feel the same way. I told her I felt really bad, but was offered an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Oh well...at least that's over.
Talk to everyone later. Must go get ready for my doctor appt.
