Trying to Fit Yoga in For Wed June 27

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Jillian's Backside Circuit followed by about 10 minutes of cardio from The Firm Hardcore Fusion and then I did the ab/core segment from that DVD and the stretch. Workout was 1 hour 25 minutes and I burned 470 calories. I also did Yoga for Health - Headaches and Basics 45" (this is the set from the DDD sale).

I wanted to try out part of this Firm DVD -- only did some of the cardio and it was kickboxy. I liked it. Have yet to do the sculpt one.

The yoga DVD wasn't a bad practice, but the instructor is foreign with a heavy accent and a bit difficult to understand. Not sure if it helped my headache......and I don't want to say how my head feels right now.....cuz I don't want to jinx myself.

I have a doctor's appointment this morning, thus the reason I got my butt out of bed early this morning.

I'm cutting back on my fruit intake. I think I'm eating too much. I've been eating about 3-4 pieces a day and I just read somewhere that you should limit it to 2 a day. I love fruit -- especially summertime fruit!

Jen - thanks for the well wishes with the sinuses....but I think it's just something I have to suffer with unless I want surgery -- which I don't. I go back for a follow up on 7/3. I will see what he says about future medication treatments. Coming off the prednisone has been rough for me also with my cervical disc/facet problems also. The prednisone helped some of that pain and now when the pain comes back...it feels magnified, thus the reason I won't have facet blocks or epidurals for the pain...cuz they are only a temporary fix.

The house is supposed to be on the market as of Monday morning. Our realtor just had to go down and measure the rooms to list it. She said the house was "delightful". She's a trip! She's the same lady we used for our last flip. We like her honesty and personality...so we are sticking with her. When she first met Steve & I (my DH) - she was amazed at how ambitious we are. She thinks we're crazy. Now - she loves to hear our wild story's. Last house - Steve was down there cutting trees down and doing the landscaping when our paperwork was held up in court (had a Lien on the property) and our Realtor didn't know us real well so she was a bit nervous. Then - she got to know us and saw how driven we are and now she TOTALLY understands our obssessive compulsive needs to be right on top of everything. Talk about 2 type A personalities ...YOY!! This house, Steve climbed in the window to see the inside the day before the other people were supposed to be out (they weren't there at the time) and the realtor just howled when Steve said he climbed in to see "what he was up against" (since we hadn't seen it yet) and then he found a box of keys and took a key to the one door so he could get back in. Also, Steve was down there weeding the landscaping while the other people were still in the house!! ...of course they weren't home. Our Realtor was laughing again. I could go on......but you get the idea of how we are. Heck....it was our house and we were paying for them to live there. Anyway.....we'll see what happens. The people next door put their house up for sale the week before ours went on the Market (they had planned it that way -- for sale by owner!! )

Kel - glad you liked the salad. I've been eating them almost every day for lunch with a yogurt parfait! I'm hooked on them. I've only tried the Asian salad and while it was good, the one I got had NOTHING in it and I was famished the minute I finished it!! I haven't gotten it since.

Lora-That is interesting about the fruit. I eat at least 4 servings a day. I know it should be more veggies instead of fruit, but c'mon! The fruit looks so good right now! ;) Good Luck at the doctor today! Meant to ask you, do you have Janis Saffel's Kick it? I previewed it over the weekend and the production quality is so bad, esp. in the first (non-step) segment that I am thinking about sending it back to Netflix......unless you say it's a must-try for some sort of fun factor. The step portion with the partner step segment looked fun and interesting, but I doubt I would ever do it. Just wondering what you thought.

Jen - yes, I have Kick It, but to tell you the truth - I've never done it. I have done Strike Zone before....but never got around to the other one. I have it in my pile of "ones to do in the future"....but then I have a box of stuff that I've not yet done also! LOL
 
Hi ladies!

Wow, already 3 posts... haha! But hey, that's a lot for us, at least this early in the day.

This morning, I did a 53 minute premix on KPC & used 1# gloves. I liked it but I also dislike cardio so much that I can tell I wouldn't want to do a week like this again. I usually love that workout but this morning, I was like... cardio again?!? LOL! I am SO MUCH looking forward to SuperSets tomorrow... all weights... YEAH! Not sure what I'll do Friday but it will be all cardio again... probably something step.

Lora - Wow, GREAT job with that house. My DH is very driven too & it's hard for me to keep up & keep my spirits up too, at times. But we're doing rentals right now. At some point, we'd like to flip some properties but we need to get all these rentals in order first. Great workout again, but that really goes without saying.

Jen - Good so "see" you here so early today. I love fruit too but we haven't made it to the store this week so I haven't had any fruit... or anything else to eat, for that matter. I actually found some blueberries in the freezer this morning so I'm eating them with some nonfat vanilla yogurt. Hope you have a great day & pop back in later to let us know what you're up to.

Probably won't fit in any yoga today. Since I don't have anything to eat, I'll probably head out for a salad. I'll try to check back in later & see what's going on...
 
Back again! Tonight's WO was a one hour walk in the park across the street from my house. There are a few inclines but not many hills, per se. Still got a good workout! I'll probably finish off tomorrow with another tough circuit workout tomorrow. Still don't have much hope for my weigh in on Friday...missed too many days over the weekend. x(

Lora-I will be interested to see what you think of Kick It when you finally get to it. It sounds like they used a boom box for the music in the first segment. It could just be the quality of the DVD I have, but I think I read about it being that way on Amazon.com, too. Anyway, I am going to go ahead and send mine back....if you say it's good later I can always get it back again. How was the doctor visit today? Good going on the house! I hope it sells fast! That way, you will be on to another adventurous house flip that I can live through vicariously! :)

Kel-Ugggghhhh...I sooo know what you mean about the cardio right now! I really miss doing lots of weights, but I think it was time to switch it up and I am sure it will be good for us overall...right?!? God please let something about this process be worth it! ;) How much longer before you get to move on to something else? Oh, did you see the blog? Filming starts early July...I thought for sure your prediction was correct about the filming already happening!
