Trying to Fit Yoga In for Thurs Aug 16

Morning Ladies-

This morning I did Cy-yo Spinning - Fire workout. I repeated part of it to make it longer. Workout was 65" (without counting the 10 minutes of yoga at the beginning) and I burned 465 calories (turned my HR monitor on after the first 10 minutes of yoga). This will be a nice hour workout to do when I'm working and want a touch of yoga with my spinning.

By the time my foot heals, I'm going to forget all of my step coreography!! I go for x-rays next week, but I can tell it's not healed yet...but it's better.

Kel - re: the jobs I've been going thru preliminary testing with only 2 jobs....the one for the Home Health Care Infusion place and the one down the street at the large Bakery. The Home Health place is supposed to be starting the first round of interviews next week, so if I dont' hear from them next week, I probably didn't make the prescreen. The Bakery said they would review the testing and be starting interviews in about a week. I really don't care which job I get, I just want a job.........any job....even a job in a store!! Need a paycheck. I'm not going to have anything left in my perfume collection, as I've been selling it all to have money. I think that my skills would be better utilized in a medical company, as I am good with medical terminology and somewhat knowledgeable, in general, with medicine. My Mother thinks I am REALLY good with medical words, medicine....etc.....but I'm not reall that great, just pretty good.

RE: Ravi & Ana - I'm not sure I'd buy one at full price to try....as you may not like it. It is very different. I just like to do it because of the didn't types of breaths used and the fact that it seems to concentrate and focus more on the glands and specific health problems. I am a big believer in all of the glandular stuff. I feel the glands need to function at optimal performance to stay healthy, both mentally and physically and I mainly practice Kundalini for my negative tendencies and addictive tendencies (as Kundalini was actually prescribed for people at one time that were in drug rehab (in California).

Speaking of glands and health, etc. I haven't been polishing my nails for the last 6 months that I've been unemployed and they have never been so healthy. They used to always peel and never grew and now they are perfect and grow so much that I have to clip them!

Jen - Wow, Lenny is young. Pandora was only 9 and we thought that was extremely young for kidney failure also. When is your appt with the specialist? Re: the BE - I didn't know they made Mineral Veil with Warmth in it. I know they make a tinted Mineral Veil. Is that what you're referring to? Have you ever tried any of the Radiances for the face? I love Rose Radiance, Warm Radiance, Clear Radiance and Nude Radiance. They make your skin look absolutely etheral. Also, have you ever checked out www.Aromaleigh.com mineral makeup? It is a bit less expensive than BE and it is good quality. I use both lines. I sort of have accumulated a pretty big box of Aromaleigh in a short period of time. The only difference is that their base is matte whereas BE's is luminous. I prefer the luminosity for my face due to my age......but if you want that with Aromaleigh, she sells another mineral product to put over your base called Illuminating something. She also has a base for those with dry skin (which I use - called Glissade). She offers sample sizes on her site also.

I've got to run..........must go clean the house soon!

Have a great day ladies.

Hi ladies,

This morning, I did the 42 minute Cardio Fusion Premix that includes the warmup, all the drills, & the stretch. I know the workout is short but it always leaves me absolutely drowned in sweat! Plus, it's got the fun factor for me so I enjoy doing it too. I'll be off work tomorrow so I'm planning on doing a circuit (maybe - my lower body is sore, sore, sore from all my workouts this week so perhaps I'll opt for cardio & upper body only) & a nice, long yoga routine. Not sure which yet but I'll try to pop in & report if I have the time. After that, I may be MIA for a few days.

Lora - Sorry your foot is still giving you problems but I'm glad to hear it's starting to feel better. Before long, this will only be a bad memory. It sounds like you have some good possibilities going for a job so I wish you good luck with that too. I can't begin to imagine how stressful this must be for you but like Jen said, there may be a greater power at work here since your mother needs you so much right now. Great workout again!

Jen - Oh my goodness, Lenny is young. Like I said yesterday, I hope you get good news from the specialist so please keep us updated. Sorry you didn't get a workout in yesterday. Like you said, maybe you can start working out in the morning. I get up around 5:30 & have some coffee & water so I can make sure I'm alert before I go downstairs around 6 & get started. But I also tend to be a morning person & I know it's not for everyone so my only suggestion would be to just give it a try if you can.

Well, today is my Friday & I've got tons to do so I really need to keep it short. I'll try to pop back in later if I can. If not, I'll try for tomorrow... & if I can't work that out, then I hope you ladies have a great weekend & I'll see you next week!

Well, got done cleaning and the Baking Company called for interview so I just got back from the interview. It was nerve-wracking. I guess I must have passed the tests?? They are interviewing all week. I felt bad cuz I asked what happened to the previous secretary (cuz I always like to see if they go thru tons of employees and she died from breast cancer).

Jen - I took your advice and told him I was good at working with confidential information. I interviewed with the Director. He was very interested in my past and asked if I worked in high school even!! Yoy! He also asked a lot about my husband and my lifestyle. It seems like a really good place to work, but the one comment that scared me is that he said that it's going to be hard to find "the Person", as the previous secretary was there so long and so special.....so she left "big shoes to fill" per se.

Jen - I forgot to ask you. What type of work do the secretaries in HR do? When I asked him, he told me that I'd be working and training with the Benefits Administrator and also cross-trained to learn the other 2 secretaries jobs so I could cover vacations (since they have 6 weeks vacation). He also said I'd be doing various Projects and working with the Benefits person and doing a lot of "odds and ends" type jobs. I also forgot to mention that his interview was a more personable one. No reading from some stupid book interview (sorry...you know how I feel about those). He asked if and where I worked in high school (luckily - I've been working since I was 15 years old) and went thru ALL of my jobs up to date (nobody has ever done this). It is a family owned company. They have been in business for 100 years and started out as a small bakery and now they are huge. It's the Schwebel's Bread Company. I'm not sure how far they deliver.....but was just curious if you have that brand down in Georgia? He seemed to be more interested in my character and what kind of person I am than my abilities. I did ask him about formulas in Excel and he said there may be an occasion to use one, but they have an IT Dept that could help me if necessary! Whew!! I don't want to get my hopes up............but it sounds like a really good company that takes care of their employees. Great Great Great....benefits including a Pension Plan, Dental and Vision coverage. The only thing they don't have is sick or personal time. I don't usually miss work......cuz I hate for my work to pile up...so I usually go in sick......so I should be okay....but I do have doctor appts that don't have late appts and I'd need to work that out some how................No use in worrying about it..........just an interview!
