Morning Ladies-
This morning I did Cardio Coach 1 on the Treadmill on the 2nd incline setting (first time I've done this...as it bothered my back in the past). I also did Walk Fit with Candace with the highest incline on the TM and held hand weights for intensity. Cardio was 65" with stretch and I burned 536 calories.
I also did Spinervals Flexible Warrior for Runners and Shoulder High off of PY4H 2 Surf Edition.
Have great rest days or workouts everyone. I'm trying to decide what sort of weight work I want to concentrate on for the next couple weeks. I"m not sure all of these circuit weight workouts are doing me any justice cuz they make me so hungry and I just eat too much. Still haven't been able to lose the weight I gained from being off of work and over Christmas.
So - is anyone gonna purchase the new piece of equipment Cathe posted on the Blog? I'd like to have it to do the intermediate pullups and for bench presses, etc....but not sure I can afford it.
Kel - if you check in today - I posted last night and asked you questions about what sort of poundage you are lifting currently so I can get an idea on what size KB's you'll need. Generally, women start out with 15-22 lbs...but you'll need a couple of different weights to start. Also, the DVDs are quite pricey and range from $30 to $50 each. YOu can find good descriptions and pictures of most KB exercises at BodyBuilding.com. ONe last thing is that some KB DVDs use 2 KBs of the same weight at the same time......but since I don't have 2 of the same pound....I either pause the tape and alternate 1 arm then the other, or I use one 15 pound and one 20 lb KB in each arm and switch arms half way thru so it's sort of an even workout. Does that make sense? I can't afford to have 2 of each weight. RE: price - Target prices are higher than the Barbell store around here, but the ones at Target are Vinyl coated. I bought my first 3 at Target - 15, 20 and 25 lbs and they ran around $50-70 each. I then got a 30 and 35 pounder from the BArbell store and they were around $55 and $65 each. They are just plain black with no vinyl coating. You can also check out exercises at www.ArtofStrength.com
Have a great Sunday everyone.
