Trying To Fit Yoga In for Sunday Aug 19

Cathlete
Morning -

This morning I did Cardio Coach 4 on the Ellipitical. My HR ranges went slightly below what they were supposed to. I guess this flu is getting the best of me. Workout was 65"....cuz I repeated a Challenge and I can't remember how much I burned.....maybe around 367? I also did Rainbeau Mars Dawn Yoga for Beauty in hopes it would help my stomach.

I wanted to start my Jillian book circuits tomorrow, but if I'm not feeling better later today, I may put that off and start later in the week.

Jen - I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I was sick all day yesterday at that picnic with this stupid stomach virus....so I ate....but at least I didn't OVER eat. I still managed to have a small piece of pineapple nut cake.....but after I heard what was in the frosting......I left a lot of the frosting on the plate! How's Lenny? Is he named after any famous Lenny's??? When I think of Lenny ...I always think of Lenny Kravitz. I like him!

We're going to see The Invasion later today.

Hi everyone! No WO for me yesterday. It is still really hot in the house-and that's even with the gift of some slightly overcast days! We were so glad to see the AC sales guy yesterday..can't wait until they get the new unit installed on Tuesday. We had the dogs back in the bedroom with us yesterday and we all took a nap in our only cool room. The window unit is working well back there in a pinch!

Lora-Lenny is....dare I say it...looking better already! DH thinks so too. His belly and throat are less swollen, appetite is almost back to normal and his energy is up. We are really happy about that! :D :D :D :D His next chemo treatment is this Friday. Lenny happens to be named after Lenny Kravitz. When I get mad at him, I call him Lenny Kravitz Edwards-cracks my DH up to hear it. (yells: LENNY KRAVITZ EDWARDS WHAT are you DOING to your TOYS?!? LOL!) He was named after LK because he is wild and crazy like him. I have had Bassett Hounds for most of my life (since my mom loved them we had one when I was younger...in addition to the two I have now that were hers) and Bassetts are sooooo laid back. Not Lenny. He was a wild puppy when we got him-he was not a cuddly, friendly dog-did not like to be held or petted too long. He was a stray, so God only knows what happened to him. We have had a rough parenting road with him, including spending time with a pet behaviorist, which helped to a slight degree. Despite the fact we would like him to be more socially friendly, it is clear that he loves us very much and is very protective of us. Lately, while he has not been feeling well, he wants to be petted all the time. He stays very close by to my DH & I and follows us wherever we go in the house. (You can imagine he is not happy when DH & I are in other rooms, he is not sure where to park himself. He also gets impatient when we keep moving room to room on him.) It has been nice to feel closer to him.

Sorry to hear about your tummy troubles. I still really admire your workout tenacity...you don't let anything stop you! How much longer do you have with the boot? So what was in the frosting of the pineapple nut cake? I don't think I have ever had that kind.

I keep forgetting to mention that I finally caved and preordered Cathe's new DVDs, since it sounds like they heard on the RT that they would be ready to roll out sometime Sept, which matches with the approx. 90 day estimate on the web that has been up since June.

I think we are going to do our usual grocery store run this morning. I better get crackin'. I will BBL if I WO!

Jen - I thought the dog might be named after Lenny Kravitz....but I wasn't sure if you liked him. My baby is a wild child too. Brookie has a real wild streak in her. I mean...all cats do, but hers is especially fierce. I know what you mean about being in different rooms. My cats usually choose a neutral spot about half way between us.

The icing had butter, cream cheese and coolwhip and was piled on about 1 inch thick!!

gotta go look at jobs .........be back later.
