Morning Ledies -
I overslept again today. Still having trouble getting out of bed in the AM. Didn't get up until 4 am! I did y M&F for Her - Time To Burn Fat - Day one workout. I hit the heavy bag so hard and it felt so good to get that frustration out..however, I felt some twinges of pain in my shoulder on the one side that's flaring with pain. I used ankle weights and dumbbells for the ab work. For the cardio bursts, I did football running and high knees on the Rebounder, Speed Skaters, Gliding and Speed Skaters with the gliding discs. Tunes were Flyleaf & Papa Roach. Papa Roach is such great workout music and I was in the middle of the CD when my workout was over and I didn't want to stop!! LOL. Cathe should use some P Roach in her next series!! LOL!!! Workout was 71 minutes and I burned 565 calories. I then did Slim & Sleek Pilates - Ab segment with band 10" and the Stretch segment 10".
Finished off with Ravi & Ana's Yoga Quick Fixes - So Long Sciatica 7" and Inflammation 6", as well as AM Yoga with Barbara Benagh - Wake Up and Get Going Segment 15". The latter had some wonderful upper back and shoulder opening that felt good and it's filmed on my favorite beach for yoga...........Half Moon Bay in Antigua. So gorgeous. I've been craving beach scenery workouts since I've been struggling with this depression.
Speaking of beach scenery......what exercise DVDs does everyone know of that has them? I'm always in the market for them....especially since my depression is acting up.
Christine - Spinning is a great workout....good for an intense one without the impact. That is one good thing that came out of me fracturing my foot......I discovered Spinning! Good going on the marathon! The guy's shirt is funny!
Yve - so sorry you caught a cold. I hate when I get them, as they always go into a sinus infection for me. I bought some oils...but not nearly as much as I would have liked to. I hope I get a job soon so I can place another order before the update is taken down.
Jen - I never heard of Fast & Firm. You said that was a Firm workout, right? I thought I owned every Firm workout....but maybe I don't. Re: that 10 minute Solutions workout - yes, it was good....but not killer. I think there may be a learning curve with it....as the band popped off my feet a few times and some of the moves were so different. I might add ankle weights in the future when she changes and puts the band behind your shoulds for the end of the workout. It would be better if it was longer, but I guess you can always do it twice through. It's comparable to a Reformer workout. Speaking of Reformers, I really have to get my lazy butt moving and figure out how to put that Power Cord on my Reformer! Does NetFlix have any Classical Stretch DVDs? If so, you should try one. I know you like cross training and Miranda does an excellent job of stretching you and for some reason when she does leg work and ab work, I'm able to feel it more than in other DVDs. It's something about her instruction and positioning that does it, I think.
Have a great day everyone.
