This suggestion is really great! Perhaps the workout doesn't have to use the words "hotel" or "travel" in the name, just provide a super intense workout that requires little to no equipment.
When I travel, I attempt to adapt Cathe DVDs to the environment, like combining MIC floor aerobics with KPC kickboxing, ending with Ab Hits sections. (There's not usually enough room for CK.) My heart rate tends to lower as I eject and set up the next DVD workout.
Unfortunately, it is really hard to get an effective strength training travel workout. Challenging resistance band workouts are hard to find (for example, Kari Anderson's band workouts are too easy. They are better than nothing, but I feel cheated re: results per time investment).
Aqua Bells can be set to ~7 or 15 lbs each. They are handy and collapse nicely, but there are only two weight levels and it is difficult to change the weight. It would be great if the workout were organized so it required only one weight changed and use about this level weight. Apparently there are Aqua Bell ankle weights now, too.
I would love a workout like this too since I travel some for my job. I've even found myself lifting the end tables and lamps in hotel rooms trying to get a "weight" workout - LOL!!!!
By the way, were can I buy those Aqua Weights? Those sound better than lifting a lamp!!!
I would love one with tension bands (is that what they're called?) instead of weights: resistance training. I think the bands would be easier to pack even than aquabells and maybe use 3 resistance level to target all the muscle groups? Add on a little
Hi / Lo and we'd be all set
Believe it or not, you can purchase them through the following website from a magazine that's placed on airplanes:

"Sports and Fitness" icon
then to
"Fitness equipment" icon
I have a set of those, and I used to have a set of the water-filled ankle weights. The aqua bells are a tad clumsy, but very handy for frequent travellers.
