The baby cavies are leaving tonite!

Our two little baby cavies are being adopted by our babysitter's friend.... and.... I'm going to miss those little cuties! They would squeal for fresh greens and apples whenever they saw me (I hope this gal remembers to give them fresh food... not just pellets and hay). Am I a sap or what!
 
OMG, Michele, my girls and I were practically on the floor... we LOVED that! And it's so true... you can't forget the Timothy Hay!
 
Michele! That was the cutest thing ever! My daughter's gp looks exactly like the little singer...We feed our little Cinnamon all kinds of yummy veggies....I always thought that if I could eat just like the gp, just imagine how healthy I would be???

My DD's babysitter has a male and female guinea pig. We got a baby from their first litter, brining it home on the earliest possible day that it could be taken from it's mother. That was this past Dec 17th. On Feb 23rd my husband stopped to say good morning to her and couldn't quite figure out what it was he was looking at in her cage. It was a baby!!! What a surprise that was! So, now we have two guinea pigs (Ariel and Aurora).

I never knew I could be so taken with a rodent. They are so sweet and social. I absolutely love them and know I would feel the same way you do if I had to give them away!
 
We're only giving away the babies... we still have the parents. And the father, also Cinnamon, is my favorite. He'll literally fall asleep on your lap!
 
Ya, I got it that you were just giving away the babies. Even though our new baby one has been around for less than a month we were thinking that if it were male we'd have to give it away since we don't want to breed them! We were all soooo relieved when we saw that it was female.
 
We adopted our first, and were told that he was a she, so we got "her" a friend. Well, that's when we found out that "she" was a he. And a couple months later, voila, two babies... = 4 little piggies. Our male is now fixed so he can live in blissful peace and harmony with his girlfriend. My older daughter is now teary-eyed, because the babies are now with our babysitter's friend. Check out our babies, if you'd like...

Oh, they are so cute. We adopted ours from my friend who got two females for her birthday...she walked into her "animal room" to discover that she now had three, then two days later she had four. They both must have been pregnant when she got them. We love our little guy and think that he thinks he is not a gp,(yeah that is is what we call him, the GP) but a dog, since he will stick his head out of his cage to get behind his ears rubbed. We've handled since we got him, he is the most gentle little thing....just love him. Hope yours are on their way to a loving veggie feeding home.

Wow, those are some cute piggies. I can't believe you were able to part with them! It must have been hard. Ours never come out of the cages unless the girls have friends over. Although I enjoy them wheeking and chirping, I wouldn't mind if they had a little shorter life span. On the other hand, I can't imagine giving them new homes.
