Sunday in the Cheetah Den 1/13

Christine...have fun with ASCII. I will have to disagree for the later game as I am a long time Cowboy fan, so I will join Tomasina in rooting for the Cowboys, it'll be a tough game I think. My run was just about total pain free..:)...Glad to hear you use Yoga on rest days too. Congrats on 5 lbs down. I was also going to ask you, I am interested in getting a Bike Trainer for my mountain bike so I can use it indoors...any recommendations?

Wendy...I have used weight sheets for a long time. I love to track my progress this way!

Dallas...WOW the Chargers pulled it off, not that any of the game was real pretty!!...:)..Good job with the tough Kickbox workout.

I did 30 min on my EXT before my run. I ran 4 miles without much pain at all...:D..so I know I will have to take it easy...Back to Football...Go http://www.sanfords.net/Spots_free_graphics/Sports/NFL/dalhelmet.gif[/img]

Hi Cheetahs-

It has been a busy weekend. Today is a rest day by default. I just don't care to work out late in the day.

Wendy- IA give S&H a try first.

Carole- no hip pain! good for you! The yoga will probably be a positive addition to your rotation. I am planning the same for my rest days.

Shelly- did you get in LL?

Lorie- You are showing great restraint in staying away from the TM and Grace.

Wendi- IA at lest your are extremely active on your no working out days.

Hi Lori :) TG you are making decisions for you crew these days! Otherwise you might starve. DH was VERY nice to have that TM already for you.

HI Sunny and Jackie and Marcia

I have been fiddling with a rotation to get me through to mid March. At that time we do our annual alone (no kids) trip. And later this week we are headed to visit some friends for a long weekend of Golfing in Florida. Anyhoot, for the next few of days I'll wing it and get in my runs and spin and abs. Then start up a rotation next week.

I would love any suggestions for an x like rotation if any one has any great ideas . Right now this is what I came up with:

Sunday- Chest / Back
Monday- long run
Tuesday- spin class (a true HIIT) / Shoulders/ abs (there will most likely be push ups at the end of spin class)
Wednesday- short run/ 30 minutes legs (I have time constraints this day)
Thursday- Biceps/ Triceps/ abs
Friday- tempo run or iTread run
Saturday- Yoga

This is conducive to using 4DS, GS, PS, or S&H

Wendy – Good job cleaning and configuring your rotation. Have fun with S&H!

Dallas – I was cheering with you for the Chargers! I’m a fan of the BALTIMORE Colts, so even though I admire Peyton Manning, I could never cheer for them. But, next week, I will not be cheering for the Chargers. :p Good game, though! Good job in listing to your body and taking a rest day! I find if I’m not 100%, my HR is higher and I burn more calories during a work out. It is kind of disappointing when things go back to normal, though. :+

Carole – Oh well, I like you anyway. :+ I cannot stand Terrel Owens. A bike trainer – hmm, you’ll want a “slick” for your back tired (a tire without tread) otherwise it’s really noisy. Cyclops, Blackburn and even the Spinervals trainers are good – there are other good ones, too. My problem with my high end Cyclops is that it does not fit my mountain bike right. It’s great with my road bike though. But, that’s the first issue I had like that with a Cyclops trainer – I’ve had three. Expect to pay $200-$300 for a decent one – you’ll want a magnetic or fluid trainer (one that does not use wind resistance) as they are a lot quieter and smoother. You do not need one that changes gears – your own gears do well there. If you can, get it from REI or somewhere like that – they will replace it even 10 years later if it breaks.

Judy - I know there is a pseudo “X” rotation made up of S&H and the Gym series. You could mix your own cardio in there. Why not use those two for your own X rotation – remember you have to have a recovery week every 3 weeks. :p Sounds like you have a great weekend planned!

ASCII Circuit 2 was tough – fun but tough. I was doing the shrugs feeling a little light headed, but thinking I wasn’t feeling anything. Now the backs of my shoulders are sooo sore! Too funny. Those rockin’ hammies are tough! And I liked the bicep work. I absolutely have to get Slo Mo – I think I’ll love it. But I’ll order it after I get back from NC – as long as I don’t gain any weight – but as I’m cooking, I think I’ll be okay. :p I’m down to my first “stick” point. So it will be interesting to see if I lose any more weight this week.

Good evening ladies!

Weeeeelllll, yet again, no workout x( x(! I got home too late and too tired to do anything but make dinner and plunk myself down in front of the computer. I WILL, I WILL, I WILL do Gauntlet tomorrow...thanks Christine!!! Immediately following that will be Shovel Max then it's off to work for me. Maybe, just maybe, if I finish at work early enough I will get a short run (maybe 5ish miles) in too.

Lorie - I wish I had found Cathe sooner, not just this forum. I shake my head and wonder what could have been if I had taken that leap to change my life and improve my health sooner. Thanks for the reminder about the Yahoo group...I'll try to get there tomorrow.

Sunny - I hope you enjoyed "leg day"!

Lori - Nice run this morning! I'm with you...I'm off to sleep in just a couple of minutes and it's barely 8. LOL about being the "Decision Making Queen"...sometimes SO and I could use one of those ;).

Wendy - Do you need another push for S&H? I think starting your rotation with Sunny is a fantastic idea! Were you able to get your yoga in?

Carole - SO and I watched the end of the game while out to dinner. I'm not much of a football fan (neither is he) but it was fun to watch them play in all that snow. Thanks for the encouragement! I guess I got a bit down on myself when I saw a not-so-nice number on the scale this morning. Even with my 2lbs allowance for TTOM...not good :(. ITA about the benefits of yoga...just wish I could get it all in. I hope you had a pain free run today!

Christine - Congrats on the 5lbs...WTG!!! The football-watchin' has been good, huh? Nice workout today...you're killing me with that ASCII! I have a feeling I'm going to end up with Bosu Blast and ASCII *very* soon.

Dallas - Your welcome! Glad to hear you sent those nasties packing! Great workout today and have fun at the party!

Judy - I'm with you...I just don't like to workout late in the day. If I *have* to I will but I'd rather do it first thing in the morning as it gets me revved for the rest of the day. Thanks for the encouragement! I think that rotation looks great! Enjoy the weekend in Florida!

Well, that about catches me up! My cozy bed is screaming my name.... See you bright and early Cheetah babes.

Hey Girls!

I'm FINALLY back for personals. Better late then never I always say...cuz I'm ALWAYS late!:p :7 :D

Wendi: Thank you girl! I almost took a complete rest day today just cause my lazy arse didn't feel like doin' yoga but when I read your last post I got up off my boo-tay and did it! Thank you for helpin' a girl out!:) Sorry you couldn't get a work out in today. I guess it's a bit too late in the evening to try and return the favor huh? LOL

Shelly: After the resounding cheetah cheer for a round of S&H before starting the X+, how can I possibly do anything but!? }(

Lorie: So what did your friend bring you for dinner last night?? :9

Sunny: Looks like we will be doing X+ together girl! WOOH!}(

Lori: Nice run. Hope you got to bed early tonight as planned.

Carole: How's the hip? Did it give you trouble on your run today? I keep track of how much I lift for most work outs but it's always by way of getting sprawled pretty sloppily in a notebook. I did, however, create my own worksheets for the X for my first round in word pad or something like that. They were rough but they worked. Now that I'm finally into the 21st century and learning how to use a spreadsheet program I am getting much more organized! LOL I just need fine tip dry erase markers and the problem with the pre-made X worksheets will be solved! I know they sell them as I saw them online but I hate to pay more for shipping then for the item I want to buy so I have to go back to Staples and take a closer look. Sorry this is so long! :)

Christine: YAY YAY YAY for the 5 pound weight loss! Keep up the great work girl! Thanks for the S&H enable!;)

Dallas: I missed what was ailing you but am so happy to hear that you are feeling better!

Judy: I'm glad you used and enjoyed my idea for the 1 mile "warm up" run before the ITread sprint work out the other day.

K, I think I'm caught up now.

See y'all in the morning! :7
