STEP -- How much is too much?

If I am doing 5 to 6 days of cardio per week, how many days per week can I safely do step? Can I do one high intensity step workout, one moderate, and one low impact step workout? Or should I do just two days?
 
Good question!

Cathe once told me not to do every day, or even 6 days a week on the step. As always, switch it up!

I do step about 2-3 times a week - I love it! :)

I love step. It was one of the reasons why I tried Cathe. I try to alternate step one day, walking or Muscle Max the next. I don't do high impact.

I agree that for most people, 2-3 non-consecutive days a week is enough. More than that will increase the risk of overuse injuries (and make it hard to not do step on consecutive days). This is also what Cathe has been recommending lately when she's asked the question.

I'm sure that, as with most things, YMMV, but better to be safe than sorry, as doing too much of any one type of movement can lead to muscle imbalances and increased risk of injury. I think kickboxing is a great form of cardio to cross-train with step.
