Step aerobics by other instructors

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of trying some step or weight training by other instructors and wondered if any of you could reccommend some.

I've heard of Amy Bento, Tracey Staehle and Jari Love etc. What do you think of them. I would like something quite advanced in intensity like Cathe and complex stepping.

What is Jari's Get Ripped series like?

Please let me know which ones you enjoy.

Yen

Jari's workouts aren't step workouts. Amy and Tracey both get a lot of mixed reviews, with some people loving them and others not so much.

Other complex step instructors you might want to check out:

Christi Taylor - very complex
Rob Glick - moderately complex
Patrick Godeau - very dancy, not necessarily complex
Seasun Zigger - plain old complex! lol

Good luck!

I agree with all of what Marie said. Another complex step workout is Steppin' in Rhythm by Pam Cosmi. I find Rob Glick the easiest to follow.

Happy stepping!

I LOVE High Intensity Step Mix -Tracey Staehle...tough with more complex choreography Cathe.
I LOVE Advanced Step Challenge - Amy Bento...very tough with more complex choreography than Cathe.
They have both stated that they plan on making a second step workout of the same nature in the future. I will preorder Amy's for sure and I will preorder Tracey's(after the filming and I KNOW what was inlcuded or cut). Both the step workouts I listed are first offerings so you will find some mess ups and production quality that could be improved, but both are worthy step wrokouts and they are two of my favorites. I go through cycles. Lately I have to make myself NOT do Amy's every other day and before that I had to make myself NOT do Tracey's all the time.

I like the Ripped series and you can get them for very cheap at Ross and I found all four in a set at TJ Max for a steal. I don't care for the original, but I like the other three. They are a nice change of pace from Cathe and I enjoy Jari's calm demeanor and the compound weight work gets my heart rate up and keeps me sweating, especially after I found the maximum weights I could use with good form.

Hello Angela,

How much did you buy the set of 4 Get Ripped for? I just bought 3 set from Advancedworkouts.com for $35.

I'm in the UK and had to order on line.

I really like Patrick Goudeau. If you like complex choreography. I wouldn't say his intensity is like Cathe but I think it will be hard to find that. I like to switch up my intensity just to shock my body. It also gives the knees a break from all the high impact. I am not a fan of Amy Bento. But I think alot of people like her.

I love Christi Taylor workouts. They aren't as intense as Cathe's but they are VERY fun! (Yes, they are quite complex) Cathe is much better at circuit or interval workouts....but if you like to dance...switch it up and try Christi. Her "Fantastic Four" workout DVD has both hi/low and 2 great step routines. I love "Solid Gold Step". That is my favorite.
