steady state after intervals

i've read a few articles about how its beneficial to do steady state cardio right after intervals b/c your body releases fat into the blood stream during intervals/HIIT and then the steady state uses it up to prevent it from being restored. Any truth to this or does anyone do this?
 
I don't know if it's true but I have to believe it is only because Alwyn Cosgrove has written the same thing and he is one of the top trainers in the industry! Hey, when in, why not ask Cathe! :)
