Something New

I have been thinking about trying something a little different for me and I am curious if anyone else has done it, if they saw good results or just have an opinion.

I really like working one body part per day with cardio after except on my rest day. But I don't think I work each part enough. I was thinking about working the one body part and then alternating circuit workouts with cardios after. Like this:

S - PUB Back, Circuit Max
M - PUB Chest, Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3
W - PUB Biceps, an Imax
T - PLB, Turbo Jam Fat Blaster
F - PUB Triceps, Bootcamp
S - PUB Delts, Yoga (Rest Day)

If I used light weights in the circuit work for the body part from the previous day do you think this would be OK, or maybe alternate it every other week with total body workouts and long cardios inbetween? I am working on lowering my BF%.

Any opinions are welcome!

Looks fine . I work out 1 upper body and lower per day and cardio in between. I rotate like.
Slow and heavy one week with cardio in between. I don't have the time or strength for 2 hrs a day. I think you will be fine.
My goals are more muscle definiition and cardio capacity. I think the fat is slowly going away. I am just giving me time.
I myself get too sore if i do too much in a day, but i am on my feet 9 hrs a day at work.
i wish i could do cardio daily.

Hey Kathy,

Becky and I have been doing OBPPD for several weeks now (since the first of March) and love it. I am the first one to admit that I am still learning and don't like to give too much advice for that reason, but one thing I see you are doing is combining circuits with OBPPD. You are already working that body part in the circuit (unless you may be skipping it in the circuit). My circuit days stand alone without OBPPD and I put a day between my circuit work and starting another round of OBPPD.

This is what a week of mine would look like.... (using Pure Strength this coming week)

Th - SSC (step, pushmowing, etc...), PS bi's
F - PS Legs & abs, stretch
S - IMAX3, PS Sh/back
S - SSC (kickboxing), PS tri's, abs
M - circuit
Tu - SSC, stretch
W - run, abs, PS chest

I really like this style of working out. It has been a lot of fun.

ETA - I read your post more thoroughly about what you are doing about the body part after the circuit day. While I am not doing this now, I have been this done on some rotations, i.e. either working that body part light or skipping it in the circuit.
