Hi Everyone,

I'm probably the last one to know this, but... I just found out that right after a strength training workout and a cardio workout, DRINKING A PROTEIN SHAKE, feeds your muscles, (I use whey protein with fruit and water) and no fat with this shake... This curbs my appetite for the rest of the day! I have 5 meals a day, and one of them is this protein drink (of course right after a workout). I am so excited about this discovery! DUH!

I'm just teasing. Yes, it's wonderful to have a protein drink after your workout. And they're so darn TASTY!
 
I know! I've read this many many times and it just went past me for some reason. Sometimes, things just don't hit you until you are ready for them. Wished I was paying more attention, cause I could have prevented so many hunger pangs. Oh well. Live and learn. And I thought I was opened minded!

On the brighter side, I'm still learning, even after 50.

I know there are many threads about protein drinks, but could you all please tell me how you make yours and what products you like best? Thanks. Melissa
 
Hi Ladies - I am also interested in how you make your protein shakes. Are there particular products that are low in sugar (and don't have fake sugar, either)?

Did you find something you like? Please share. I look when I go to the store, but get soo confused. So many calories it seems. And I just hate drinking calories, I would rather eat them!!
