Schick Intuition shaving system

Has anyone else tried this? It's a dream come true on busy mornings when I want to wear a skirt, but it seems like it's gone in about 4 shaves. The solid skin conditioner is a block that surrounds the blade, but the bottom part washes away while the top part of the block doesn't seem to get used. At 4 shaves per blade, it costs a fortune, yet it really saves time. In short, a horrible product I can't seem to give up!

Any suggestions for other products?

Haha! Agreed! Really, why can they not resolve this issue of the bottom getting used up while the top doesn't? One thing I do to get a tiny bit more of my money's worth is on the underarms, I rub the top edge on the skin to deposit the product before shaving. At least a little bit of that top edge gets used up, although most of it's still there when I toss it.

I've been wondering about those Smooth-Away things for a while. Reviews online seem to be hit or miss with it. I'd love to hear if anyone here has tried them.

I've tried these and they are God-awful IMO!! It's like a sand-paper mitten that you wear and rub on yourself. I don't know how it gets the hair off. Then again I guess hair can't really grow on raw skin ;)

I've also tried the Intuition and I hated it. Like you said, it doesn't last long at all and I also found that the blade itself got really dull very quickly. I always nicked myself on that thing. The only razors that I like are the men's Gillette Fusion razor; it's navy blue and orange. I never get cut, even on days when I'm rushing and don't use shaving cream on my legs. The blades last a long time too!

I do exactly the same thing.

I also love the men's Gillette Fusion for a super-close shave, but I have to use soap or shaving gel with it. I used Intuition for a while, but now I've switched to Gillette Venus:

I could get about 2 weeks out of an Intuition when shaving every other day. The Gillette Venus lasts a bit longer than that for me. What happens with this one is the pads on either side start to disintegrate and then one of them falls off. And they don't travel well at all. You really need to take the empty razor and a refill with you and put the refill on when you get to your destination. But I do like it better than the Intuition and it's quicker/more convenient than the Fusion. Give it a try!

I've tried those twice and each time the blade rusted, and I had to toss it out. But I loved it the little while that it lasted. :(

Thanks, MM! I'm ordering it right now.

You're welcome! Let me know how you like it. I have the Breeze right now, but I'm going to try Embrace next. I'm hoping Embrace will give me the kind of shave the Fusion does, but with the convenience of no soap/shaving gel. We'll see!
