Rebounder? Love it? Hate it?

Finding variety and rediscovering my rebounder! It's a NordicTrack I got from Sears many many moons ago...and there it was just waiting. I think I found my new BF...:)

So do you love, hate, use the rebounder?

I bought one a few years ago and used it for a while. It was fun at first but I got bored with it relatively quickly. It hung around collecting dust for 6 months to a year until I finally sold it on Ebay. If I had the room to spare I would have kept and probably used it on ocassion for a fun change but it wasn't worth keeping in such a small house for once in a blue moon use like that. Glad you are enjoying yours again though! :D

I'd just say "Have it"!
I haven't used mine for quite a while (though I have it out now in preparation to do the Supreme 90 Tabata workout).
At one point, I used it a lot, as it allowed me to sprint and run with less impact. I'd set it up in front of the TV, watch a show (sometimes with sound muted and closed captioning on, while listening to music like Cardio Coach intervals) and do interval 'runs'.
Before that, I did some Urban Rebounder workouts (kiind of a mixed bag, and the most advanced ones have a sometimes-annoying instructor, J.B.Berns, who likes to address himself: "come on J.B.!" and has some other weird tics) and Leslie Sansone workouts that I adapted for rebounding (and pretty much only used in that way).

A while ago, there was some discussion at VF about new Urban Rebounder workouts coming out (10? or so) with instructors like Amy Bento and Keli Roberts, with an overall name that suggested they would be high intensity. I think that may get me back into rebounding.

I love my mini trampoline!

I get Cathe's tower out and use the bar while on the trampoline. It's great watching TV and getting in some cardio at the same time.

Weird thing was, it used to, like way before Cathe workouts, probably before 2009 (maybe even way before that) when I just walked, it used to get to my knees, then I tried that bosu workout a while back that was on TV, and it was pretty good but by then I was really in the thick of all Cathe rotations. I just wanted to try it again because there just seems to be some things I still can't do, regardless of how light the impact (I don't know if that's runners knee, not a runner, but when people talk about it, it kinda sounds like that)

so I gave it a solid 20 minutes and it's great! I'm hoping this is a needed step in between activities I've managed to condition myself for and new ones that aren't quite possible yet.

Thanks Wendy, it was a neat feeling after all this time, I like too, Kathryn just putting music on and free styling, jogging is better on it too, you'll have to give us a mini review of the Supreme 90's when you get to it? I'm seriously trying to avoid Bed, Bath & Beyond because someone said they had it and it sounds like a good buy, The last time I was there they gave away free flavored Keurig cups of coffee! (you know I'll probably end up there soon!)

Oh, Janie, do you use that bar, then? that would work. Mine doesn't have the bar, hope I don't get to excited & fall off...:)

I just used my rebounder to do some of the moves in the Supreme 90 "Tabata Inferno" workout. Actually, just one (high knees, which I turned into 'fast sprints') as a 'rebounder', but sitting on it for a few ab exercises.
