Quick question here...

You have a hobby you can do w/ your hands? I'm a cross stitcher - so I do that when I watch TV - keeps my hands out of the food. They need to stay clean to work. Other than that, no I don't. I am one who wanders thru the kitchen when I'm bored. Need to see what's in the fridge - might be different than it was 5 mins ago. Try writing down every thing you eat - even the nibblies. That helps, too

I don't believe people snack out of "boredom". I think we snack because of physical or emotional cravings. Be conscious of what you eat, and if you find yourself reaching for something that isn't good for you or doesn't satisfy a real physical hunger, then ask yourself why and try to get to the bottom of it.

For me, eating simple carbs leads to cravings for more simple carbs, but if I stay away from them, I'm okay. If I find myself eating for emotional reasons, then I don't try to stop it unless it goes on for more than a few days. I figure a few days of overeating won't hurt me too much. And if it makes me feel better, then maybe it's worth it.

Well I believe there is such a thing as boredom munchies. I'm not eating horrible things when I munch. I'm eating a little salad or whole wheat crackers, yogurt. just little stuff. 2 or 3 days out of the week I only work 4 hours, so more than half the day I don't know what to do. I save all my fun activities when I don't work AT ALL. it's alright I suppose I'll have to come up with another hobby..I should get back into crocheting or something...thanks ya'll!;)

I believe in boredom munchies - mine are not healthy like yours Alana. I have to leave my money in the car so that I'm not finding myself in the company store looking at those darn Mallo Cups

know I eat from boredom--especially at the end of the day when I don't have much energy left and I am not interested in anything on TV. I knit in the cold weather and that helps alot. It is easier in the spring and summer when there is more daylight and you can get out and do things.
