Question for some of you Vets

What is the longest any of you have gone with a muscle building round as opposed to a muscle definition round? Have you done like a month with heavy weights and then switched or 2 to 3 months and then switched to more definition type training? Lighter weights, more reps. I'm just curious because I've been doing a heavy round for about a month and I'm considering going a bit longer. Any replies would be nice. Thanks.
 
I've never switched. I've lifted heavy for the last 18 years & other than the occasional rest week when I couldn't resist doing some circuit or core training I've been going strong, so to speak. ;-)
 
Wow, Laura!! You look incredible!! Really cut and defined too! I wonder why it is that people say you really only get the definition when you do lighter weights and more reps? Do you stick to the 8-10 range? You look great! And lean too.
