Question for Evening & Two-a-day Exercisers

I always workout in the mornings but now I'm splitting my workouts for cardio in the a.m. and weights in the evening. I have a couple of questions for those who split their workouts and/or workout in the evening:

1) Do you workout on an empty stomach?
2) What is your post-workout meal like? Is this your last meal of the day?

Last night I had a protein shake after the workout (Legs & Glutes) but I had already eaten supper before L&G.

I don't eat before cardio in the morning, otherwise I'd cramp up. On lifting days I eat a late, large lunch--usually in the form of a salad w/protein included. If I'm tired I might grab something light w/carbs right before the workout, like a handful of pretzels or crackers. After lifting I eat a low carb dinner.........some kind of meat & veggie.

Now if I could just figure out how to avoid that before bed dessert.......:9
 
Not sure if I am the best at answering this ..b/c I don't follow a strict diet .. and I don't use supplement shakes ..

I have a workout at lunch .. then in the evening after work .. so timewise I eat a snack about 10:00 (usually fruit) then I workout at lunch 11:15 ... then come back and eat (usually a sandwich, salad or lean quisine)

I usually will have a snack about 3:00 (usually yogurt) .. then after work go teach a hour long class .. I then leave and go home (7:00) then I eat supper ..

It works for me .. but everyone is different .. I usually follow: breakfast - snack - lunch - snack - supper .. and nothing after supper

If I liked the protien supplements I would eat/drink one mid afternoon or an hour after working out at lunch .. but I can not stomach them ..
