Question again about ebay wedding dress

Why are they so cheap? Is this the manufacturer? I am scared to order from them. I am so tight in time but the price is so tempting. I am confuse how could I find the same dress at 1500$ in a store and 20$ on ebay, I guess with shipping and adjustment, MAX 500$. I am confused.

I just had a theory. Do they just take the designs and copy them? Custom made, you choose the color, you can ask for a something a bit different. That must be it. They take existing designs and copy them. I wonder if they use the same material. This is too confusing. How could you go from spending 1500 to 500 of the same dress...

I think i'd be reluctant to buy any dress from outside of the country, but inside the country it could be like any other discounted clothing item. I have about 10 suits in my closet right now and I bought all of them on ebay. Each one retails for $280 to $400 and I never paid more than $60 for ANY of them. I paid as much for these suits as you'd pay for a cheapy one at Fashion Bug or one on sale at JC PEnney's.

Think about how there's wedding dress sales in bigger states - I know alot of people locally go to Pittsburgh to special outlet stores for prom dresses and wedding dresses. A friend of mine sent her daughter to PA for her prom dress and she got EVERY THING for about $150. That included shoes.

Just pay attention to the seller's feedback score, and buy in country and I think you'll do great. Also look at the description VERY closely and ask all questions first. YOu also want to communicate with the seller to make sure the dress with fit you within reason. I've had some sellers that really want the sale be willing to send me the item and allow a return if I'm not happy, provided I took care of all of the shipping. YOu may be able to work something like that out.

Good Luck! :)

I bought my wedding dress from ebay for only $50.00! In fact, I bought two just in case I didn't like one, the other was for $50.00 as well. My dress retailed over $900. I spent more money getting it altered than what I actually paid for the dress. When I told the lady who was altering my dress she could not believe how much I paid for it! I would not have been able to purchase the material alone for only $50.00.

How it was explained to me was that a wedding store was getting rid of some of it's inventory. The dress I actually wore for my wedding was a dress that was displayed and then tried on at times. It was NOT used, just used as an example.

I was also told that many wedding stores get sent "samples" at no cost. So when you see a dress listed at a really low price, chances are they didn't invest any money in the dress itself.

I've been really lucky with ebay. Just read the feedback, I did.

Good luck!
