Power Max

I was going through the video clips of the Cathe videos that I don't have and I watched this one. It looks like a lot of fun. What do you guys think? I was also curious about something. At the end of the video clip Cathe has a step with no risers. Is this the cooldown or does she lower her step during the workout? Thanks for any comments. Hmm, I might have to add this to the list of future Cathe purchases too. :)

PowerMax is a BLAST, if you are a classic Cathe step fan. SO much fun - a great, very tough workout, and fun, fun, fun! Did I mention that it was fun? :)

The lower step is just for the cool-down, which is kind of dancy/funky (and fun!). I'm usually a bit uncoordinated, but I find Cathe's step workouts to be fabulous, and easy to follow once you "get" her. Again, if you are at all a Cathe step fan, PowerMax is definitely a winner.

This is my very favorite Cathe workout. I own all her cardio workouts but I still do this one at least once a month. It's dancy, intense, fun, & embarassing to see what we used to wear to the gym LOL. :+

Buy this one :D .Whenever I'm in a bad mood and don't feel like working out, I pop in Power Max because it's just too much fun for me to not enjoy!

I love it too, especially the second and third combos. Such great dancy moves but your heart is pumping. And Cathe is so adorable!

Thanks for the replies ladies!! I think that I shall purchase this one. I do have another question for you. I am leaning toward the VHS because the other workouts on the DVD (Step Fit and Step Works) really did not look like much fun to me at all. How do you feel about those other workouts compared to the Power Max?

TIA,

Karin

No, I would definitely say get the DVD. StepWorks is awesome and Step Fit is good for those days when you don't want or need the intensity. Also, with the DVD, you can skip ahead to the combos you want, if you want to mix and match.

And I have to agree, PowerMax is awesome. I was so enamored of it when I first got it that I did that workout to the exclusion of almost everything else! It's just a fun workout!

I really like Step Works and Step Fit is okay too. Step Works choreography is more complicated than Step Fit imo. I would get the whole DVD.

Oops, I actually didn't preview Step Works (thought I did), but just did and it does look fun. I guess I stopped at Step Fit because I really wasn't into that. I am thinking DVD too!! Thanks.

Karin

Absolutely get the DVD. Both workouts are unique & so much fun. I don't know how much you previewed of Step Fit, but it's where the dreaded power lunges were introduced, and the rock press too if I'm not mistaken, and it has some really great moves that aren't found in any other Cathe workouts.
