Hi there! I was just going to post...too funny we're both here at the same time, thinking on the same page and all. Wouldn't have been funny if we both would have posted?

Justin is doing well. His childcare granny has been sick for almost a week...throwing up & dehydrated. I praise & thank our Lord, that baby Justin hasn't gotten sick. DH has been doing ALL the childcare as I"ve been working my typical 30-hr/wk job. He's MARVELOUS. He's so great with the kids. I'm so fortunate to have such a wonderful man in my life. :)

Justin isn't eating solids yet. His sleep schedule is sporatic...so I"ve been doing lots of running w/the jogging stroller. 2 wks from now is the 5/10K that I annually like to run. I'm ready. :)

Anyone else preorder Cathe's DVDs? Yeah! Always pumped. Cathe hasn't set any dates...but I"m thinking they'll be a nice X-Mas present to myself. }( I'll wait patiently!!

Here's my week:

Sun: 30 min run + Abs (barely got this in as I was fighting a T-storm)
Mon: off
Tue: 45 min run _+ Abs
Wed: I-Max 1 + abs
Thurs: 60 min run
Fri: 60 min run + abs
Sat: off

Hello friends... I've got an interesting situation going on. I found out that I have nerve damage due to delivery and possibly resulting from my episiotomy. I mentioned a long time ago that I am suffering from incontinence. Well that would be number 1 AND number 2, unfortunately. Isn't that crazy and gross! I can't hold my bowel movements, and I pee when I do high impact.

Anyway, a specialist wants to perform not one, but 4 tests. I need to have a colonoscopy with biopsy, a defecogram, an endorectal ultrasound, and an electromyelogram. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. I am wondering how expensive this is going to get, also if this is an unfortunate result of childbirth or is it something my midwife did...

I also can't have it corrected until I am done having children. That stinks. What if I don't know when I'm done - it's a huge decision. Not to mention having to live with it until I am done having babies.

Do I sound like I'm miserable? Because I really am dealing with this all surprisingly well, or it's possible that I'm in denial.

I just wanted to share my awkward situation. (I'm also hoping that there is a random chance that someone will see this who knows about this problem - the hardest part is not having anyone to talk to about it who can relate).

Other than this, we are doing well. I am trying to get Max to go to sleep on his own. I have created a problem in that he is used to being nursed to sleep at night. I want him to not have to rely on me to fall asleep.

I am so excited for Cathe's new videos, but I almost wish she hadn't announced them so far in advance. It will be many torturous months before they will arrive!

Melanie, too funny that we almost posted at the same time
Emy, glad you found a reason for the incontinence, but sorry to hear about all the stress with the nerve damage. Keep venting here. I don't have incontinence but must admit I have been stopping my workouts to pee numerous times. I shouldn't drink a big cup of coffee before working out. A good book on child sleeping habits is Healthy sleep habits, happy child by Marc Weissbluff. I recommend you put Max down to sleep at about the usual time he falls asleep. Put him in his crib and let him cry for a few minutes before checking on him. Alexis has the fisher price aquarium in her crib that she loves watching. Unfortunately, given Max's age and set pattern it will take some effort to break but I am sure you can get him sleeping on his own without nursing, well I better go exercise.

Grrrrrr....

my post did not post and now mr. baby is nursing and I don't want to type it all one handed. will try again later,

Maggie

Hi everyone--

Emy--I know that you cannot be the only one suffering from this, because I was contacted by Oregon Health and Sciences University as a post partum mom to participate in a study on fecal incontinance specifically. Apparently, according to them, quit a few post partum women suffer from this, but are too embarrassed to talk about it.

In general, my weight seems to have plateaued again, I did lose another pound, but that's it. I did, however, buy a pair of size 6 pants, because the 8s are feeling normal and I like having pants to "shrink" into for inspiration.

My workout week last week
Wed--The Gauntlet
Thurs--55 min sta. bike
Fri--HSTA lower body/ cardio premix+upperbody/cardio premix
Sat--L&G floor+C&W core only
Sun--Circuit Max
Mon--KPC/L&G 82 min circuit premix
Tues--REST

I also preordered the new workouts, but will be supremely bummed if they do not have premixesx( x( . It has dampened my excitement some.

Mr. B is also dependant on me for sleep. When he is a year, I will begin the weaning process. It'll be ugly for a few days, but then he'll be fine like all the others.

take care everyone
Maggie
Vot yes on premixes!:7

Hi guys, I just got back from our family reunion and feel like I've a lot to catch up on at the forum and no time to do it. Please let me know if there is anything REALLY interesting that I need to know, cause I'm just not going to have time to read much this week!! Lots to catch up on at home!!! Noah was such a good baby with all the family and new place to stay. There were 134 relatives there, most I don't even know, but he loved them all. Fun Time. I'm just finishing recovery week #8 from the P90X. While at the reunion I jogged and biked A LOT. I have very sore shins - I will never be much of a jogger because of this!! I will begin week 9 tomorrow and feel like I'm in the home stretch of the P90X.

I've broken my last plateau and back to prepreg weight now. They served awesome food at the reunion - I lived on salads and very Lo Carb. They always had deserts, but I didn't touch any of them, completely sugar free and lo carb all week and I felt GREAT. I've got to try hard to keep eating veggies and avoiding the bready carby junk now that I'm home. I've got to admit.....having someone else cooking and cleaning up meals is a great help. Also there is some serious motivation when probably 90% of relatives are overweight and many severely overweight coupled with diabetes. Makes one eat very clean just observing others and the results of lifestyle decisions. I would love for them to understand how wonderful you can feel just by getting active. I have one aunt who is 85 who was up early in the morning in the bathroom doing her exercises every day. I was so impressed. She is the oldest of my mothers sisters (there are four sisters and 3 brothers) and by far the most active and not overweight. She was swinging her arms and doing toe touches and other stretches. I loved seeing this!!!!

My other observation. God gave us mosquitos to keep us moving. I jogged wherever I went at the lodge/resort we were at because if I stopped I would be eaten alive. No need for Deet laced mosquito spray when you keep on running!!! :7 :7 :7

Emy, keep us posted and I'll ask around to see if anyone has experienced this. Glad your getting some answers.

Briee

Maggie, I want premixes too, can't imagine Cathe not putting them in. She never seems to disappoint us so hopefully they will be there!!!

Good to hear from you, Briee--I keep obsessively checking to see if there has been a premix decision yet:p :p
