Wow, another week has past. Its hard to believe Alexis is now 5 weeks old. She is still small but growing. As of 4 week check up she was 7 lbs 15 0z. How big is your son now Maggie? Alexis is now sleeping but was up from 12:45 to about 2:30 last night.I was up from 11:45 to 12:45 wide awake prior to this waiting for her to awake, unable to sleep. She was also awake with crying spells from 5;00 to 10:00 last night. Scale hasn't budged much, i continue to hold onto those final 5 lbs. Some of my old clothes fit now, many remain way too tight. My energy is returning, I can't wait for my 6 week check up to return to my high impact tapes.
Here is my workouts from last week as I best remember them.
Sunday-No workout-sick with breast infection, couldn't leave my bed.
Monday-Energy slowly returning-Buns of Steel postpartum tape
Tues-Phillip Gray-cardio cut fx + walk to the park about 3.5 miles
Wed- Gay Gasper-Greatest Step-low impact +walk to the park
Thurs-return to slender-weight work
Friday and sat-off- went away for the weekend to old place of residence-too busy seeing friends and showing off baby to work out.

This week has started out better. I better go and work out before Alexis awakes.

Hi there,
Oh the babies grow so fast. Bardric is 6 weeks old and weighs 13.5 lbs according to our not so great scale. I am going to have to move up to size 2 diapers soon--bummer because you don't get so many in a pack. Baby also has a stuffy nose. With five kiddos it is hard to keep illness out of the house, no matter how hard I try.

I am seriously bummed because the scales went up;( this week. My husband thinks I shouldn't weigh myself every week because I get so depressed over these things. He thinks I should go by size,(he thinks I feel smaller) not pounds and I suppose he is right, but still... I have to be honest, though, although I worked out and am breast feeding a monster baby, my eating was not so good. I did not do my fitday account at all last week, so I will do it this week. It helps me be accountable.

My workout week: (low to medium impact)
Sun-LL (15lb bar)
Mon-CTX Upper Body
Tues-Step Jam (4" step, very little jumping)
Wed-REST
Thurs-Power Hour
Fri-Step Fit (4" step, a little more jumping, but no power scissors)
Sat-Power Hour

take care everyone!
Maggie

Maggie, I'd love to see your son next to my daughter. She is still in newborn diapers and her size 0-3 month outfits are still big on her her feet can't even reach the toe portion, but I am not even 5 feet, so its no suprise. Friday, I reach the six week mark and plan to crank up my workouts. I am craving that high impact. Don't go by the scale. My weight has been flexuating by about 2 pounds, I'm assuming its fluids and breasts. Yes, I know I'm blaming alot of weight on boob but it does make sense, since with breast feeding the breast go up and down with size due to the milk.

Shopaholic--Our babies next to one another would be funny--big hulking "brute" of a baby next to a dainty slip of a thing. Although I am overweight, I am only 5'4", and none of the other kids was this big. My husband is over 6 feet and has big people on his side, so maybe that explains it.

I tested my theory about boob weight. I weighed myself yesterday before and after breast feeding. Would you believe there was a pound difference within this 2 hour span?

Dylan was 4 weeks on Wednesday and he weighs 7 lbs 12 oz. He is filling out and such a happy baby! I was so glad to hit the 4 week mark and get the go ahead from my Dr. to start exercise (not high impact yet). I walked a couple of times last week and did the Firm 2 Maximum cardio today. It felt so great to finally do a real workout. It wasn't Cathe level and and I kept it low impact but still I feel good. No movement in the scale this week - I still have a depressing 24 lbs to go. I know it was the sweets I've been eating plus no real exercise. Hopefully next week will be better.

Wow. And yes I would believe it. Water and/or boob weight must fluctuate quite a bit, because I weighed myself today and had experienced a 1 lb loss since last week.

So now I have 45.5 to go. Oh well, I'm in the weight loss thing for the long haul. Next week I will measure again to see if I have lost any inches. My husband thinks I am a bit obsessed with all this
}( .

take care,
Maggie

Alexis actually slept from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am last night. She woke up twice in between and I was ready to nurse her but she quickly fell asleep. Unfortunately the night before she was up from 2:00-4;00 am and woke up every 2 1/2 hours. No night is predictable. I've had a cold which I think Alexis has caught she sounds congested but no runny nose. she was weighed yesterday at mommy and baby and class and actually weighed over 8 lbs. She was still the smallest in the group though, including one baby born 1 month early. I figure I'll post my workouts for the week of the 19th here while I still remember them.
Sunday-Buns of steel Postpartum
Monday-cathe-wedding tape
Tues-cardio cut fx+firm cardio sculpt blaster+walk (It was initially raining so I was going to skip my walk, but it cleared)
wed-Firm-Max cardio plus abs
Thurs-Reebok, step,rythym and moves
Fri-crunch-bootcamp(minus abs and high impact)+ zumba
Sat-still deciding

Wed. is my 6 week check up, hopefully I'll get the ok to resume intense workouts. I feel good although I am feel slight pressure on pelvic region, not during workouts, but at other times. My weight remains the same.
