POP goes the server!

I was sitting in my boss's office yesterday & heard this loud pop from some distance. I went running back into my department where the server is located, & it was smoking, blinking, & smelled like it was burning on the inside. It was kind of scary.

Boy, being offline kind of stinks! I couldn't use anything--no Excel, no Word, no Outlook & of course no internet.

On the other hand, I've gotten some long overdue filing & organizing done in my office......

Awesome Laura! Are y'all still using DOS? Maybe there was an upgrade to Winblows 3.1? I used to work in municipal land and loved the outdated technology. Anti virus software was "too expensive" and we had Acer computers. They were a pain in the ace! They made good planters once they exploded. ;-)

LMAO! What a great visual........you know it's funny, my boss has a love affair w/technology. So while I sit in a fabulous historic building that's literally falling apart around me every day, we have all the top of the line 'puter stuff. There's a definite prioritization problem here. x(

Ah, one of those types. My boss is like that as well. We may not have the databases people need to get their research done but hot diggity, we have all the latest techie tools with which I cannot access the data we need.
