Pet Room is done!

My daughter and I spent the whole afternoon yesterday cleaning out her playroom, and then I put together the pack's room. It's a testament to recycling! The dogs' bed is made from DD's crib mattress, some old bed pillows, a padded mattress cover and a big piece of fleece. The mattress cover and fleece were the only things I bought new.

I took Teri's Bratz dome tent that she had in there, put some old couch pillows and old foam inserts on the floor, covered it with an old carpet remnant and plopped one of the berber dog beds on top. That's the cats' hide-away. And there's a cabinet my dad made for Teri that we used to keep the guinea pig cage on, that now has an old funky pillow covered with an old baby blanket, and a pillow I made from a zip up pillow case stuffed with the leftover guinea pig bedding I couldn't figure out what to do with. The bag has been sitting in the playroom since last April because I didn't want to toss it and I didn't know anyone with rodents. The cats love both spots, except Buster and Cricket stick their heads in the tent and yell at whomever is in there.

I put a gate across the door last night to keep B & C in while I slept in my room. Plugged my ears with earplugs and went to sleep. Buster whined for about a half hour, Cricket barked for longer, and several times throughout the night. But I had leg room in my bed!

Cricket ran downstairs this morning when I took the gate down and prompty relieved herself on the rug by the door. Teri called it revenge...I think she's right. Cricket is housebroken, but will do that when she gets annoyed.

Good for You!;)

I was wondering if you would do that. Sorry about the revenge thing, but I'm sure she will get over that.

You do care about your lovely pets, and it shows.

Is it possible to see a picture of what you did? I bet it looks great!:)
