Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 11/3

Good evening ladies.

Ran this morning and rockout tonight. Tomorrow I have a doctors appt so since I do not need to leave the house until 9:10 going to try and do all of x10. I did it once before and it was tough. The rotation is calling for it so I will let you know if I succeed again.

Right now we are all positive and saying tons of prayers for my brother. This is what he needs and it is helping the rest of us too. It will be a little while before we have the results. So we are going about things as normal as we can until we know what exactly things are.

Lynda..I love burn sets. When I finish this rotation going to do 30 xtrain rotation. Then going to attempt STS again. Awesome on the PRS1 i have not even opened mine and most likely never will. Matter a fact I do not even remember what I did with it. I put it aside and now do not remember. Don't you hate whan that happens????

Deb...good for you bumping out the workout. I am going to look at this workout on you tube. Hoping they have a clip. I think I mentioned I have heard good things about her workouts.

Valerie...I am so sorry to hear about your sister. Good that your brother is close by and was able to assist. Poor thing. Prayers coming your way.

Josie...have fun this weekend!!

Judy...thinking of you.

Good morning,

A late night with class, then John came home from a BOD meeting of the dog club very late and of course had to tell me about it. It has been raining here, but got into the 60's yesterday. BIL sent an e-mail, John's sister fell and broke her femur...it does not look good.

Garance, Like Lori, burn Sets is on the top of my favorites from Cathe, too. I am going to Google and see about a season 6. I already pre-ordered season 4 of Downton Abbey. They said it would ship in November, but I doubt it. They can't release it until it is released here on TV I would assume.

here is info on Season 6: http://blogs.weta.org/tellyvisions/2013/08/21/finally-first-trailer-doc-martin-series-6-here

Lori, thinking about your family and hope the results for your brother are good ones. Nice job doing the X-77 premix and hope you can finish it again. I had a hard time with the shortest one. Does she give you a rest in between? LOL.

Valerie, I hope your sister is better today.

Josie, when do you leave again? (or maybe you are there already)

((Judy)).

Work, then no plans for the evening. Looking forward to staying home and dry.

Take care,

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did All Out Low Impact Hiit with Core 1 (49:22). This is one of my favorites and I think it's just intermediate. I noticed, too, that there are several timesaver premixes under 30 min. if you are interested, Deb and Lori.

Deb, that's great news about a season 6 for DM! The final episode of season 5 is so funny, I will have to watch it again. I will be curious to hear your reaction. Pouring rain here today. And then a cold front moving in. Yesterday was absolutely lovely--warm and sunny. Sigh!

Poetry seminar tomorrow, so I have some reading to do. Other than that, I'm enjoying the new V.I. Warshawski novel.

Lori and Valerie, I hope your siblings are all right.

Hi to Josie and Judy!

Good evening ladies!

So I guess I was not as energetic as I was last time I did the entire x10. This time I only got thru the first 3 and I was done. I did do the remaining 2 tonight to finish it up. I love it but from this point forward will use it as it is intended. Short intense workouts. This way they will remain fresh.

Lynda...All out Low impact is a favorite of mine too. Sometimes I want a good workout but not super advanced and this is a good one to do. Thanks for the tip on the premixes. Going to check them out.

It is driving me nuts that I can not remember where I put PRS1. It has now become my mission to find that damn DVD! I spent 15 mins after work looking for it and came up empty handed. This must be an age thing for sure.

No news on my brother. I am thinking it will be a couple of weeks before we know anything.

Hi to Judy, Valerie and Josie!

Good morning,

BIL called me at work yesterday, my SIL passed away. I am not sure if I posted here that she had fallen the other day and broke her femur. She was in hospice, and finally gave up the fight. We are not sure what he plans to do at this point regarding a service etc. John is sad, but accepts that at least now she is out of pain and at peace.

Garance, thanks for the info on All Out Low Impact...that is a stand alone from LIS correct? Are you attending the seminar, or part of the presenters?

Lori, LOL on not finding the DVD and an age thing! Wait until you are my age:) Did you check when you got the DVD's, was it there originally?

Hi to Judy, Josie, & Valerie,

Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Deb,

I am so sorry about your SIL. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I'll post more later today. DH took the day off and we are going out to breakfast and then running some errands.

Judy

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Flex-Train (56:30). I probably should alternate this one with Supercuts so I don't tire of it. I really, really like this as a total body workout.

Deb, All Out Low Impact Hiit is a disk from XTrain (maybe #6 or 7?). Gosh, I feel like there has been so much bad news on our thread about siblings and pets. I think you mentioned visiting your SIL awhile ago, and you wondered if she had much more time because she was so weak. It's sooo hard letting go, but maybe she just didn't want more struggle. This was just a seminar I attended. I had a few questions, but prosody is not my favorite issue with poetry.

Lori, maybe you hid PRS1 because it's kind of daunting and you unconsciously did not want to do it?? Sorry, I'm getting Freudian on you, but that's better than having a senior moment?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good evening....

No workout today. Needed a rest day. And as I type this I have a big bag of potato chips at my side. One of those days. Thank goodness I do not have these very often!

Deb...I am so sorry to hear about your SIL. You have posted a few things and I knew she was not in good health. Very sad.

Lynda...I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I posted. For such a small group we all have had some heartaches recently. I like your thinking about it being Freudian. I am sure that is exactly what happened.. I definitely received the DVD and remember saying perhaps I will sell this one and put it somewhere other than in my collection. Where that "somewhere" is god only knows. I will find it when I am not looking for it....perhaps a year from now. HA!

Deb...I think you will like All Out. Great workout with no dread for me.

Busy weekend. Need to run all my errands and house max tomorrow as Sunday my company is feeding the Veterans in Boston to celebrate Veterans Day and Marine Corp. Birthday. This event takes place at the New England Center for Homeless Veterans and is the second year that we have been here. Feeding 300 people! So nice.

Have a great weekend! Hi to Judy, Valerie and Josie!

Good morning and Happy Weekend all!

We are meeting with our financial advisor at 8:00 am today, just to go over things. Otherwise a very quiet weekend planned, HouseMax and maybe YardMax. I still have not put away empty pots etc.

Judy, I hope you had a nice day off with your DH. Going out to breakfast is one of my favorite things to do.

Lori, LOL about the DVD...you will find it in the most unlikely place. Your company ( and all the people that work there too!) do such great things for the community! Keeping your brother in my thoughts, and that the test results come back ok.

Garance, I remember "All Out" now...and remember liking it too. Flex Train is a good one.

No class today, we rented out our training hall to the UKC for their obedience trial.

Have a nice weekend!
