Hey All:

Does anyone have any recommendations for pain management CDs? My mom has chronic knee pain and I'm trying to help her find some solutions.

TIA!

Sparrow,

I'd be interested in responses to this also. I deal with chronic neck pain and although stretching and yoga help, I've been thinking about this approach.

And gee, I could always use anything that helps with relaxation.

Hey Sparrow....I am a huge believer in relaxation cds to help me deal with stress, not to familiar with using these for pain management, but the first one I ever used is still my favorite. It is called: Your Present: A Half Hour of Peace by Susan Mantel. I found it through Amazon, and it got lots of great reviews. I used it right after by dad passed away, just to get some respite from the grief. She has a lovely soothing voice, and allowed me to rest and get some sleep. In fact I remember her saying in the cd, falling asleep during the half hour was what you should do, but that your brain would still hear all the postivie affirmations and "soak" it in. Wonderful stuff. I have a couple others, but since one involves lots of bagpipes(I LOVE them!!!)that would not be as helpful....hee hee. A Half Hour of Peace is really worth giving a shot....I still use it. Take Care, Donna.
