Overworking Muscles

I have been doing the 4DS for approx 4 weeks and I want to do it for another 4. Can someone tell me if it is safe to do this without over working myself because I believe these workouts are considered heavy lifting. Is Gymstyles the same? So I would be able to do a GS rotation afterwards?
 
i don't know much about either since i don't own them but some recommended guidelines are to change up your routine every 6-8weeks(maybe 12 but most i read say 6-8 ) . so i think you should try for another 2 weeks and see how you feel, if you are not bored and still feeling the challenge then try another two then switch up.

I think you should be fine if your energy levels are staying up, your not overly tired, your muscles are recovering, etc....

YMMV, but I think 6 weeks of it would be fine. An option would be to go 4-6 weeks with 4DS, then take more of a 'recovery' week (focusing on different types of workouts, like corework and stability, with some less-intense cardio, maybe some circuit workouts), then return to 4DS for another 4-6 weeks.
 
I've been lifting heavy weights for almost 20 years. Other than rest weeks every 4-6 months, I've never stopped and (knock wood) never had an injury. Safety is more a matter of proper warm ups & stretching after (although I must confess I'm good w/warmups but ummm not so good w/stretching).
 
I just want to thank you guys for all of your input, suggestions, and ideas. I've gotten a lot of great things here. I started working out to cathe's dvd's in the Nov 2005 and havent looked back since. I then discovered this place about a year ago and I began to do the rotations that cathe posted. There only four week rotations so thats what I did. This is the first time I've done a rotation for more than 4 four weeks and I'm really seeing the results. Not that 4 weeks doesnt work. Anyway thanks everyone!!!!
