**upped the following weights:
figure 8 to a hold: 35#
side bend: 45#
**dropped the snatch to the 25# did well, may up it back to 30# tomorrow. GREAT form with the 25# today.
**rest of weights kept the same
bb get up sit up: only got in 2 today with 35#:(
long cycle bottom up jerk: 20#- HARD!! :eek:

added:
**pullups: 10
**7 minutes of swings with Bertha:
30 seconds on/ 30 seconds off
all rounds 21 swings and 2 handed, 'cept last round 2 handed and one arm swings.

finished off workout with stretch max #3!!

NOTES:
**really good workout today.:D - went slow and steady.
**changed rests to 30 seconds throughout SIM, since I upped weights. will keep it at 30 seconds all this week.

Deanie - Great workout! WTG on those swings! I'm still patiently waiting for my copy of PTTP. Based on what I've been reading at CF 603, I think I'm game for doing this program. :)

Classes started today! :eek::eek::eek: I'm going to do a KB workout tonight if I can get out of work at a reasonable hour. BBL for more personals.

Today is a rest day. My legs are still screaming from that workout on Saturday.

Yesterday I did an upper body workout and then ran around the block a couple of times.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I have decided that my focus will be to complete schoolwork. Lord willing, I will be done in May. I will address the other issues if I need to at that time.

Tonight I will either do KM class and kettlebells or just KB.

Deanie- How was your visit with your brother? Great workout this morning and I hope Stretch Max was a nice break. I haven't done that segment yet.

Gayle- Hope you have a good 1st day of school.

Really thinking about doing ETK now that I will have a consistent schedule. To those who have, should I? Do I need to buy the workbook?

Jane: enjoy your rest day! I hear you about legs screaming!! mine were screaming on sat. and sunday from my thursday workout. interestingly, they were okay till friday night.:confused:

Rhonda!! I'm glad things worked out for you!! My visit with my brother was great!! my nephew is 4 and too cute!!! and of course, love spending time with my brother and sil. My brother is really studious and has been doing kb's for about a year, and studying books and the internet about them and the different methods. he's the eternal student!!!!:rolleyes: he and I did ETK this year in feb-april. I can't say enough about how great the program is. I got the workbook from AOS, but he had the book by Pavel, and so I was able to reference it through him. I would recommend both. here is my post from when i finished etk.... i would do this program again, but not this november like it says in the post:http://www.thecathenation.com/forum/blog.php?b=1226&goto=next. A really good solid program. I also liked knowing exactly what I was going to do each day!

Good Afternoon!

I did Tone It Up this morning. I raised my weights from 5 to 7# on the first lunge series and did front raises with the squats. On the lat pulls, I started out with 10s (up 2#) but had to go down to 8s. On the back rows and 1 arm rows, I used 10s. On the 2-count delt row, I used 8s. For the chest work and kickbacks, I used 8s. On the lunge series and front/side/rear raises, I used 8s (easier than last time). For the rotator cuffs and W-press I used 8s (up from 5#). For chest flies, I used 12# (up 2#); chest press - 10#, tricep press 10# (up 2#). I used 5# ankle weights for the leg work but still have trouble with the pulses and the extensions still hurt (they never seem to get easier.)

I also did 14 minutes of Cool It Off. Did the first 20 minutes of Cool It Off yesterday as well as 6 chinups and 3 pullups. Saturday was 2 pulls/2 chins and 3 hours of dancing.

I've decided to continue for at least this week with SS and then maybe start adding more cardio back in. I've really been missing my weekly yoga practices and would like to start doing some more cardio again. I've hardly been able to fit in any cardio with this rotation although my results have been great so far:

Lost 1" in the waist
Lost 3 1/2" in high hip
Lost 1 1/2" in low hip
Lost 2" above chest
Lost 1" across chest
Lost 1/2" in each bicep
Now here's the weird part - gained 7/8" in right mid-thigh but lost 1/8" in right inner thigh
Lost 1" in left mid-thigh; lost 3/4" in left inner thigh
Also lost 4.9% body fat!

Deanie - Great workout today! Nice work with Bertha!

Rhonda - I would recommend doing ETK as well. I did it the same time as Deanie and got really good results with strength and endurance. Not exactly the aesthetic results I was hoping for but strength and endurance is probably more important.
