Good morning ladies...

I had a busy day yesterday. So, I didn't get to come back to the computer and Vic was also working at home yesterday...After school lessons, I had to make a trip to the grocery store. I did do the BM2 premix and instead of weights and plates abs. I did the ab work on BM2. Last night Chris had a baseball game. It was the first tournament game and they won. NOw they play game 2 on Thursday...

Workout today is Legs on Disc 14...

Be back later. TIme for the kids to get out of bed!!

Good Morning!

Hey Kathy!: Congrats to Chris on their win!! How exciting!... Good luck with DISC 14. I'll be joining you doing legs, on DISC 11!!

Beth: Good luck with your exercise training w/ the Chiro today! Sounds interesting, you'll have to let us know what goes on. OMG, I'm dying to run again after yesterday. Do you guys get "runners high"? It's freakin amazing!

Okay, off I go!!!

Good morning! Kathy -- yea for the baseball team! That's exciting and fun!

Chris, I have been thinking about your runner's high..... I haven't had one in a while, and I've been running with cardio coach for quite a while. I'm starting to think maybe the zoning out of it is part of that high. When I do cc, I'm thinking pretty clearly most of the time, concentrating on whatever it is he's having me do. I think I'll try running with music this weekend and see what happens. I'll report in later! :)

Today's a rest day for me, so I did Jill Miller's core integration, which I've had from netflix for 2 or 3 weeks now!!! It was an interesting core workout. I'm going to have to try it again, which means I'll be keeping it another couple of weeks!

Have a great day!!

Hi ladies!! I couldn't get on the forums yesterday. :( But, I'm here now!

Wow, let's see...lots going on. My dad had his procedure for the kidney stones. Did not go well at all. It seems leaving the stent in too long did some damage. He had lots of bleeding when they tried to take it out and the even talked about removing the kidney. The dr. said he had never seen anything like it. They didn't even try to blast the stones. They finally stopped the bleeding and put a new stent in. They did a cat scan last night to try to find out what's going on and then figure out what to do. I think they are pretty baffled. He's actually doing pretty well, though, and did fine with the anesthesia, which is what they were most worried about. So, that's all been kind of crazy. His spirits are pretty good though, amazingly.

Workouts --- I tried to do Mindy's bosu workout and realized my bosu needed more air and I was probably going to break my ankle if I continued! I have to find my pump for it. I forget what I did instead - that was the weekend, I think. I've started CLX again. I only got to the Push phase last time. I'm determined to actually complete a program!! I always seem to peeter out at the end. I did finish STS, though, so that's something, right? I started Monday. Talk about fluff....I'm so disgusted with myself. Just feeling fat and extremely fluffy. I know it's the food and I only I can change that. I've been doing better the past couple days. I just have to keep it up. I'm going to try to add in more cardio with CLX and do a run on the treadmill today.

Chris, I love that runner's high. I think it's being outside, the music, the endorphins! I wish I could get out more to run. You don't get that same high on the treadmill.

Beth, running with music makes a HUGE difference! That session with your chiro sounds interesting. Come back and report!! Those are cute names for the kitties. My kids wanted to name my mother's cat Mr. T. She named it Peanut instead. I liked Mr. T better!

Kathy, congrats to the baseball team!! Very exciting!

Hi Hottie!! I saw your post on yesterday's thread. I was laughing at your McDonald's and McFlurries talk! Oh, poor Evee. Did she get injured somehow or is it just something she was born with?

Football is almost done. We have a scrimmage game tonight and then the final game on Sunday. Colin's been loving it, but it will be nice not having practice every night. I just signed Jameson and Colin up for indoor soccer. Jameson's games will be about 45 minutes away and they play on Saturdays at either 8:00 or 8:45 am. Yikes!! Not looking forward to being up that early on a Saturday. But, he really wants to do it.

Have a good day all....

Joanne

Hey Again!

I finished STS , DISC 12! (not 11, i get mixed up once you get into double digits! LOL!) . My quads are/were really sore from my run yesterday. And my left low back/hip (I think that's from Pilates Abs). So some of the moves were harder than usual. I did 2 of the exercises from the Bonus work. (side lying leg extensions on the ball for outer thigh, and for inner thigh, throwing the ball up and catching it with your legs , FUN!). Forget about the ins and outs with the ball. I really do hate those moves on the ball. :p I did do the Extended Stretch which felt like heaven! I truly hope my legs don't hurt for 3 days like they did last week....

Beth: Like Joanne said, I definitely get that "high" when I run with music and outside. The few times I've used a treadmill, it never happened. And the time I used CC, didn't happen. You'll have to try it this weekend and report!! ... I never heard of Jill Miller. Sounds like some serious core work though! Glad you liked it!

Joanne: Been wondering where you've been! .. Oh, I'm sorry about your dad. Holy crap, could it be that they WAITED so long to do the dang procedure that it's so involved? Geesh. Good to hear your dad is in good spirits and feels ok though. THAT is what's most important. ... LOL @ the deflated Bosu. Oopsie! I can see where that would make you fall. Cool on starting CLX again. I'm seriously thinking of buying it soon. Maybe when I get my amazon.com gift certificate. ... Yes, the fluff. I have it. I have issues with eating. I wish I could stop. I do try! It amazes me that I lost 95 lbs and had such HUGE willpower and self control on Weight watchers 7 years ago. Amazes me. .... Football sounds fun! Glad it's almost over for your ( outside in the cold) sake! Indoor soccer sounds much easier to do. My boys rarely ask to do sports. I should ask Alex if he wants to do basketball this year.... It'd be a good winter thing for him.

to Hottie! And Vilma!!

Hey Chris! Yea, it's definitely cause they waited so long to do the procedures that there are complications. My mom just wants to let it go - I can see where she's coming from, but you also want to let them know that you know they should have been more aggressive with this. Ugh - what can you do? My mom says that the doctors always seem baffled by my dad's problems and don't quite know what to do, so they seem to dismiss him. I'm liking CLX so far. OK, so I'm only two workouts into it, but it's nice and short and tough! Indoor soccer is nice cause you don't have to worry about what they are going to wear to stay warm and bundling up the rest of the family! The early mornings will be not so fun, though.

Sometime between now and Friday morning, I have to help Colin build his diorama of the artic tundra. He's had the project for two weeks, but we've been so busy and he's not home til 8:30 at night, that we haven't had a chance to do it. Him and Ian are so different - Ian is so artistic and creative - he loves doing things like that. Colin is totally opposite, so that makes it harder. I wish I had saved Ian's from last year. ;) JK -sort of! I've googled how to make an igloo out of sugar cubes. We'll see how that works out. I bought him some plastic penquins. We've got cotton for the snow. When is this going to happen?? No idea!! Oh, and Caitlyn has to build a replica of one of the buildings downtown. (our suburb, not Chicago). OK, she's in 1st grade - who do they think is going to make these things?? Parents, of course. That's due Monday. OK, my school rant for the day is over!

I did an itread during my lunch - about 40 minutes. I'm done for the day!

Back to work...

Joanne

quick fly by again but now at least I know why I don't have internet - because my boss and the rest of my department are cheap a$$es. I'm sitting with a bunch of engineers now that are eyeing me funny! I tried out the Ryka Studio Mid Flex this morning with HIS -- I do not love it as much as my Assists AT ALL. But i'm ordering one size smaller to see if its a size issue. When I get home, I'm doing Disc 14. I really think I gotta put in that cardio in the morning. But in good news, I still have some DOMS in my tris so at least me returning back to them on Monday night was worth it! I WANT SEXY ARMS DAMNIT! (and a sexy butt and belly too but I've also given up on that.) I will write to all our posts when I have more constant internet even if it means when I'm at home and you're all asleep! :)

Hey Hottie!

Cheap bastards at work! Don't they know you need the internet to RESEARCH!! Woo hoo! for long lasting Tricep DOMS! I have to tell you, my eating wasn't the best last time I did STS, but either way, i DID get some new and nice definition in my arms. I liked it!

Joanne: I understand on the school projects. It is a sore subject with me. With Zach (our first) , for his first few projects, we let HIM do it 95% by himself. They weren't pretty, but it was mostly ALL him. He got a crap grade, where someone who OBVIOUSLY had a PARENT do most of it, got a great grade. So if that's the way they want to play, that's the way we play too!

Chris, yes, I agree about the school projects! The last one Colin had he did himself he got a C. I know it's cause it wasn't as good as the other kids, but he did it all himself. We worked on the arctic tundra when we got home at football at 8:00 pm tonight. I started Colin on the sugar cube igloo. It wasn't going well, so I called Ian, our artist in. He did the whole thing. Then Ian helped Colin make the cotton balls into snow and glue it in. I actually ordered arctic animals and an eskimo to put in it. Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. It was Colin's ideas, but Ian and I put it together. The igloo is now sitting on the dining room table slowly falling into itself. :( I give up till tomorrow!

Hottie, how could they not give you internet when you do RESEARCH?? Makes no sense. I'm sure you will have SEXY arms in no time!! ;)

Good night all....

Omigosh, when I was a kid I hated those projects. What I hated the most were the families that put oodles of $$ into their projects where my parents -- coming from an indian educational system that didn't have these creative projects -- didn't see the point in spending money on stuff like that. So even though we were creative by taking things around the house it didn't matter because they weren't as pretty. I never understood -- even as a child -- why the teachers would reward that! Ugh!

blech, the internet. actually, i don't blame my boss as much as I blame our department. The way the university has it set up, it would cost my boss thousands of dollars to ACTIVATE ethernet lines (the ports are there, they have to flick a switch) so we've been using what was supposed to be our wireless but apparently the people who paid to put a router in their room (who btw is renting space in our building as they are the engineers and don't do any aging research) were pissed that we were using the computers to do research. So, now a bunch of us can't download papers or print or check email or check porn (where porn here is the cathe forums). It's truly aggravating. Those thousands literally can equate to doing the next step in some of our cancer research and they're making us choose. It's stupid stupid.

Kathy -- OMG I just did disc 14 and my legs are like jello! I can barely stand (in fact, I'm not!) But I keep on telling myself the more Cathe Legs i do, the better i'll be! But I have no flexibility...I can never do the paper plate stuff well...

Beth -- what was the core integration workout like? I flake on all the ab workouts on the rotations...it's so bad...

Chris -- I hope I lose the fluff so badly! It's my belly that's terrible. I'm getting closer and closer to thinking maybe a tummy tuck is what I need since I can't seem to shake it off there. What's really killing me is that I was my lightest right before we found out the bank accepted our offer on the house and I've just been yo-yoing since. I hate bending over not because of my butt but because of my belly! But its my eating and I know its that. My blood sugar btw was within normal limits but given my family history of diabetes I want it lower. I'm still on the cusp of the "healthy" BMI range -- STILL! Ok ok, enough bitching...

Joanne -- a sugar cube igloo? how have you not eaten it yet! :) yeah yeah...clean eating...

praying for kind doms tomorrow...
