Good morning ladies..

Chris and Beth: I read last night's posts. Thanks...I am still not sure if I am coming down with anything. The only thing wrong with me is my neck is hurting which is giving me an annoying headache. No fever or chills and no cold type symptoms. Not sure what it is. But, when I rub my neck I feel some relief. I have been putting icy hot on it and that helps too. Anyway, I feel fine otherwise. Well, I am probably not doing anything today either. I may try to do some stretch max and see how that goes. Maybe it will help...

Be back later...

Good Morning!

Hey Kathy!.... Stretch max sounds like a good choice for you. Oh, it's just your neck (which is annoying as anything!), but causing headaches too. Ouch!

Beth: Hope the winds weren't too bad last night, and you got everything prepped. No wonder the little creepy critters are coming in...they don't like the weather either! Crap on the pumpkins, huh? Why is it so hard to make time to find pumpkins!! Crazy!!...

I'm off to do my workout. Today is usually a running day, but it's COLD and RAINY and icky out there. It was so dark this morning when I got up, HATE wandering in the dark in the morning. Seems so wrong to be up before the sun. .. I'm pretty sure I decided on doing LowMax today (unless i change my mind at the last minute) and then will do something for abs.

BBL!

Good morning!! Kathy, neck problems are a big bummer -- they do cause headaches. Maybe you somehow strained it doing STS? Taking it easy sounds like a good plan -- and hopefully you're right, you're not coming down with any flu!!

Chris, I haven't done low max in forever..... that one always scares me somehow!

It is definitely a dark and stormy morning here! I almost stayed in bed just to listen to it. I did not do that yoga -- I realized I'm two workouts away from the chiro, so why am I so impatient about working that upper body?! I had previewed and there were a fair number of down dogs which I just don't think would have done me any good. So..... I did the new bosu workout. It was AWESOME!!! My hrm numbers were like cardio coach running -- Cathe doesn't do that for me. And my that balance stuff is tricky!!! So, it was fun, a great cardio workout, and I think my legs are going to be sore too, because she put in a lot of squats. I think that may be my cc replacement for the winter weather, if I don't get sick of it, that is. I guess shock cardio will be here someday, and I have a feeling that'll get my hr up there too.

While I was waiting for the kids at school yesterday, I was thinking about how I might ever be able to get back to working out, and I made a list of the workouts I really am itching to get back to. You know what? Not that many of them were Cathe workouts -- I was stunned! I'm not sure what the deal is, and I'm not sure I'm going to draw any conclusions from it -- it was just an interesting exercise (so to speak!).

Well, the power flicked really quickly once this morning, but holding steady so far. I'm sure we'll lose it at some point -- it's sooooo windy! Have a great day!

Thanks ladies...I am happy to report that I used icy hot this morning and my headache is feeling tons better...I am about 85%....Which is good news to me. I am still not doing anything, don't want any strain coming back. You could be right Beth. It could have been some tension from STS..I was thinking that maybe I should go a little light with the weights in meso 1 next time since it is endurance. Maybe I was overdoing it. That is what I was thinking anyway..

Chris: Enjoy that workout..I wouldn't run in the dark either..

Beth: Hope you get everything worked out at the chiro and you can get back to those workouts. Once you do those you really want, you will have a new list of must dos. Right now I am hooked on Cathe and anything else just doesn't appeal to me...Great fun with your new workout!

Hey Girls!

A little down time while I wait for Alex and Jake to get home from school.

I ended up doing all of LowMax. I didn't think I'd make it and thought about "just 4 intervals", but went to the end! Holy SHIT, that workout is crazy, huh? It's so deceiving in the beginning. My HR was max'ing in the 130's in the beginning, and I'm thinking , "Geesh, this isn't working me", and THEN , getting further into it, up to the 160's! Cranked that baby up! I did do half of Abs Weights and Plates (guess which half I did??? ).

Beth: I guess the storm did come, huh? Glad you had electricity at least. Did I miss that you're going to a Chiropracter? VERY cool that you got to start the Bosu workout right away!!! And right up there with CC? Holy cow!! Even cooler!!! I also like the sound of the workout your boys were doing yesterday (using it as a catapult to get on the couch!) .... I can't believe you're tired of Cathe! I feel more like Kathy, still loving everything she has and does. I do remember Vilma feeling like that and taking a big break from her workouts too. I mean, I like others, and look forward to them, but love and need my Cathe stuff. It's crazy how my arms are firming right up with STS this time around. I love it and am liking looking at my 'guns' in the bathroom mirror LOLOLOL!!!

Kathy: Glad to hear your neck and head are better. Oh it's not the dark I didn't want to run in, it's the rain! ;)

Baking for Alex's open house tomorrow, and then on to cooking supper! Fun fun!

Phew....I finally have a break here at work and a chance to check in with my buddies!!

OK - I think I'm losing my mind. I swear that I posted yesterday, but it's not in the thread. I'm thinking I might have posted in the wrong thread. If so, the people on the thread must be wondering who the crazy person is and what she's talking about. ;)

Anyway, I thought I had posted about my Bosu. How I liked it, but hardly ever use it. The most use it gets is the kids pulling it out and jumping onto the couch from it. And Caitlyn using it as a mini-trampoline. I must say her balance is much better than mine!! Beth, I have Mindy's new Bosu workout. You have me excited to try it!

Football was good this weekend, but so freakin' cold! Colin wanted to stay for the varsity game, but I was shaking so bad from the cold. Colin's team did well, but didn't win. Actually the B team played much better than the A. They just didn't seem to have their hearts in it.

Chris, LowMax is tough!! It is deceiving at first. I'm afraid to run in the dark. Even if I bring the dog. She's too friendly to protect me. ;)

Beth, I kind of know what you mean about other workouts besides Cathe. I think I got a bit burned out doing so many of her rotations in a row. I've done very few Cathe workouts lately. I still love them, just needed a change I guess. But, when I do one, I think how she really is the best! But, it's fun exploring other instructors. Good luck at the chiro!

Kathy, glad to hear you are feeling better and it's not a flu or cold.

Yesterday I did Mindy's Workout. That was fun. She's so goofy. Wow, she looks great for being almost 50. Heck, she looks great for someone any age. Today I did Jari Love's new Extremely Ripped 1000. Yep, I bought some new workouts. ;) I really liked it. It's cardio and compound weights. I'm starting to feel sore as I sit here.

Time to finish up here and get home....have a good night all!

Joanne
