Good morning ladies..

Starting us off today...

Disc 10: chest, shoulders and biceps for me today..I did the ab workout yesterday with my stretch....Thankfully my legs are getting back to normal. The DOMS were in my hamstrings and inner/outer thighs...

Lauren has her drawing lesson today and the kids have CCD tonight...Not much else going on here

Hey is everyone sleeping in today?

Getting ready to head out to take Lauren to drawing lessons...We are going to head to the track and run a mile. Then, it is home for Disc 10..

Hope everyone is doing well today!!

Good morning! My internet connection is soooo sllllooooowwww this morning. Don't know what's up with that, other than frustration! :)

I did rhythmic step this morning -- I know I've done it once, because I remember telling you I have no recollection of ever having done it. Well, maybe it's something about that workout, because once again, I had no memory of any of the steps! Some of it was very hard for me to get!!

It's cold here this morning! 45 outside and chilly in the house. Feels like the weather is finally changing -- whoo-hooo! I'll bet we have one more round of indian summer, but I'll take it for now.

Have a great day!

Hey Girls!!!

Slacking today, huh? Where's all the work out enthusiasm??

Kathy
: I'm about to do DISC 4, CHEST BICEPS SHOULDERS, so similiar, but a few weeks behind. Are you on week 4 now? or 3? My boys have CCD today too.

Beth
: RS is SUCH a fun workout when you get the steps down. It feels like dancing and I am usually concentrating on the steps so hard I don't realize the sweating I'm doing! ... Sounds like a nice relaxed day yesterday for your birthday. Glad you enjoyed it (but no cake?!?! ;))

*WAVES* to Joanne, Hottie and Vilma!!

Ahhhhh!

Just finished DISC 4. Damn she never lets up on anything! Plus I got my flu shot this morning, and that deltoid was sorer during some of the weight work, but I did it! I did Seg #3 of Stretch Max afterwards (felt good!) with the band.

Last night at work was hard... not so much busy or crazy or sick/unstable patients, but I was soooooo freakin tired! I don't know why because I slept pretty good on Sunday daytime. I tried an espresso, I tried a Red Bull. Nothing helped. Started with that one sided headache towards 5am-ish. Luckily, I got home and crashed and got up before 2pm. STILL feeling wiped out, but pushed it to do my workout. And now, after DISC 4, feel a TON better!

Now to figure out what's for supper!

Where the heck has Hottie been lately?? Hottie? You still there? Are you still cranking on STS??? Where are you!?

Good afternoon ladies!!

Hi Chris, no I didn't slack today, but I did all weekend! No workouts Saturday or Sunday. This morning I did Insanity.

Beth, Rythmic Step is hard to get at first, but once you do, like Chris said, it's a lot of fun! Happy belated birthday!!

Hey Kathy! Our CCD is Sunday mornings. Think I said it before, but I hate having it at that time. One more morning to get everyone up and out of the house.

How was everyone's weekend? I have to read the thread, so I'll know!

Colin's team won their first game Saturday! Yea, we will have at least one win for the season. Sunday Jameson had some friends over to film his book report. Thankfully it was beautiful outside, so they did it all outside. It was on Hamlet and they made it humorous. From what I saw, I don't know how it resembled anything from Hamlet (one kid was wearing a banana costume), but he's done this before and gotten good grades on it. I'm hoping this teacher has the same sense of humor as last year's! ;0

Well, I went to the new doctor today. I really liked him. He sent me for some blood tests, which I have to do in the morning since I can't eat beforehand. I've had what seems like a swollen lymph node in my neck for, oh, 3 or 4 years now. My old doctor has looked at it a few times and so has my ob/gyn. They both said they were 99% sure it was nothing. It bugs me from time to time, but I usually forget about it. The new doctor felt it. He said he's probably going to send me for a cat scan on it depending on what the blood tests show. If they are all normal, he'll do the scan. Or, they might show something that would explain the lump. I'm a bit worried, but not much. I'm thinking it's been there so long, it couldn't be anything serious. Anyway, I go back in two weeks to go over the blood work and probably schedule the cat scan, if that's what he decides to do.

Gotta go...DH is picking up the kids...they'll be home and hungry soon!

Joanne

Hey Joanne!

Your weekend sounded busy, but it must be fun to cheer on your sons football games! Even funner that they won one! You made up for all that "slacking" with Insanity today...Did you do the one from the 2nd month that you liked better?

I know it can be something completely different, but I had had a persitant swollen lymph node in my neck a FEW years back (15?). Anyways, maybe things were a little barbaric "back then", but my PCP sent me to a head and neck specialist. She decided she was going to biopsy it :)eek:). It was a very bad experience, she did it in her office and "probed" in there, and it hurt like freakin HELL! And then a week later she called me and told me that they didn't get a good enough specimen, and she wanted to do it over. NOT! I refused! And that was 15 years ago, and I'm still alive with no major health issues! My PCP told me I could have gotten some infection at some point, and my gland will just stay permanently like that. (It still is bigger than the other side) . I'm relieved to hear you get to go for a CT SCan instead!

Okay..off to have fun wtih homework with the boys!

Hey! Crazy day here. Joanne, Banana Hamlet! I like it! Do you think you'll get to see it sometime? Bet that'd be fun! Nice that a football game was won! I sure hope my boys get at least one soccer win a piece.

I'll bet you're right (and Chris, too) that the swollen lymph gland is nothing serious, but it's very good you're getting it checked. Nice that you found a dr. you like!

Well, a friend of mine took me to a bday lunch today (no cake, Chris, but I'm not a huge cake fan, so no biggie) and she asked me what kind of workouts I'm doing and she had a similar injury! Not quite the same, but close. She said it took six months to heal, but she went to a chiropractor for some treatments and said she thought that helped a lot. The chiro gave her some exercises to do at home, too, so..... I told her to send me the name the person, so I guess I'll give it a go.

I'm going to a belly dancing class tonight! Did I tell you that? It's here in the mountains at the community center -- as much as I hate going out at night, I feel like I need to support things like this so they'll continue to do them! Don't laugh!! ;)
